This fight exhibited a lot of principals from Musashi's Book of Five Rings. The way Prakoso created distance to not allow himself to be overwhelmed. Keeping the goons confused by throwing things and creating obstacles. Also the nod to Ip Man was pretty cool as well. The fact that he developped super armor after being stabbed was insane. I think he probably could give Assassin problems if he was full health. I really wish we could have gotten a full health Prakoso vs Assassin, that would have probably been fight scene of the decade.

Yes, he was very good in keeping the distance... Once someone actually managed to pass his defence, he went completely crazy and became an open target for everybody. He was ambushed for a good reason, to show how the boss's son was incompetent, unfit to take over. My big takeaway from this was that Bangun probably had a deal in place with Prakoso, and probably would've let him walk away. Uco wastes a ton of men to take out someone with an intimidating reputation but who probably wouldn't have been a threat. After seeing these performances I think Indonesian actors are kind of underrated. For how talented these guys are, we don't see them in movies often enough. More directors should be using them. If I ever make a movie I'm keeping some of these actors in mind.
I don't see it. But it makes sense if you see it. Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and other malay countries (Brunei and Singapore) shared deep bond in pre-colonial time. Indonesia, being a wide and big archipelago, resembled many of its neighbours.

It's interesting that we always belittle Hollywood and it's "shaky cam" addiction, then praise Bollywood and Asia for eschewing it, but look here. The camera is VERY rarely stock still. But it occurred to me, watching other fights in the movie: The CAMERA was being manipulated to represent the EMOTION of the moment, exactly like music. It's not just big sloppy shakes meant to hide C- talent. It's tiny, jittery shakes when the subject is scared or nervous. It's shakes that go one way, then the other, when the subject looses, then regains, the upper hand in a fight. It's a view that spins upside down with someone thrown through a window, righting itself as they do, to carry us into and through the impossible to describe confusion of BEING thrown through a window. God. These movies. Cinematography as effective element of a scene as a soundtrack, or the characters themselves. Also, if the movie has a single flaw, it's doing characters dirty for no reason. The first 5 minutes should NEVER have happened the way it did, and likewise here, it feels as if the writers have just decided they don't have any use for a character anymore, and they suddenly go from being incredibly tough survivors to utter jobbers. It under cuts the capacity for emotional attachment, knowing any character can suddenly get got for absolutely no reason beyond "So the movie can happen."
U mean Andy assasination at the start of the movie ? I mean Andy was in charge after his Boss death and Bejo who assasinated And was his boss boss. Andy also letting those cops (his brother and two officers) leave must make Beho angry and got tip by Reza that theres this rookie that still survived and walking about. Thats why Bejo killed Andy because hes getting over the line here. Also with the death of his brother Rama are pulled into this again and have more personal reason to see this through.

@@SharkmanAdidas and even if they could injure him he'd keep fighting like the mission wasn't over
Tbh he needs own movie where he is the main character where its is hella viloent would be crazy
Now imagine how irritated the cops must be finding all this mess. Throughout the movie in general.
I always felt this scene was cut short. It could have been 5 more minutes of awsomeness. Cause the character is just pure madness!
at first, i laugh because there's snow in Indonesia. then you see the cuts on his body. i call out the traitor when I saw him. I feel sad because he did it all for his unappreciative wife and daughter. Then the assassin came over to finished off another assassin. God damn, just this small part alone is so masterfully done!

Serius deh gua masih ga ngerti karakter Prakoso disini. Udah nonton scene yg dihapus pun ga nangkep, dia tuh sebenernya siapa? Anaknya yg mana?

That guy got the special treatment
would have been great to see them fight without him having to go through 30 guys first.
21* guys to be exact
I think Prakoso was a better fighter than Rama and the Assassin.
It's an epic battle, and Prakoso's realistic role is very important in making scenes as smooth as this, such as handing over the title of Badas from the villain of The Raid 1 to The Raid 2.
A fight between those two both fresh would have been pretty cool
In my head cannon, Prakoso is Mad Dog's twin brother since they are played by the same actor.
We will never see a movie like this again in cinema .
Absoloutely masterpiece
until another masterpiece come along

Handel's "Sarabande" is the most bizarre accompaniment to the end of this scene
Straight up Barry Lyndon-ing it.
Shame the guy went all out till the end only to be killed in the end. Was really obvious he stood no chance against the assassin.

I think he would beat the assassin if it was just dem two
That's why they sent many men against him they known he would survive against the assassin alone
Don't think so. The assassin is shown to be an almost equal fighter to Rama in the final fight, and with Raid 2-Rama being without a doubt the best fighter in the franchise, I think the assassin is a close second. Rama took a lot of punishment to put the assassin down.
@@seemannsgarnlp9035 Raid 2 Rama is not confirmed as best fighter in the series. Mad dog almost 1 vs 2 Rama and his brother in the first film, and Prakoso looks to be on the same level as Rama and the Assassin.

The best scene in Raid 2. Yayan is a master
As an Indonesian, I really respect people who want to use Indonesian actors. What I like about Indonesian actors is that they don't get angry and are always intentional when acting or getting injured
After seeing these performances I think Indonesian actors are kind of underrated. For how talented these guys are, we don't see them in movies often enough. More directors should be using them. If I ever make a movie I'm keeping some of these actors in mind.
"The assasin looks like Manny Paquio.
I don't see it. But it makes sense if you see it. Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and other malay countries (Brunei and Singapore) shared deep bond in pre-colonial time. Indonesia, being a wide and big archipelago, resembled many of its neighbours.

Imagine what would had happened if Prakoso fought against Hammer Girl, Baseball bat guy and the Assassin at the same time...
It would be a bloody, yet short, scene.
At the same time prakoso stands no chance, if prakoso fought them in the order rama did, I feel like he would still lose to the assassin
The assassin is no joke, he’s an incredible fighter! Prakoso would definitely lose against all 3, but I’m sure he’d easily defeat hammer girl and baseball bat man!
@@moronicbeing5822 prakoso only lost because they made sure a bunch of men wore him down badly before the assassin made his move.

This movie is so full of insane scenes I love it so much
Yea and doesn't have that John Wick funny business.
This ain't even a versus… but I'd say 1v1, Prakoso and Assasin might be matched a little.
It’s awesome how the same guy also died in part 1 👀😄
When I saw this movie I hate that Uco set Prakoso up all he wanted to do was spend time with his son,he didn't expect to be betrayed by Uco SMH! Love this movie tho! 💯

**Top 10 Saddest Deaths**
In Prakoso's line of work, it was inevitable. But not this way. Not Uco being a coward and sending a mob to wear him down so The Assassin could go in for the kill.
It's interesting that we always belittle Hollywood and it's "shaky cam" addiction, then praise Bollywood and Asia for eschewing it, but look here.
The camera is VERY rarely stock still.
But it occurred to me, watching other fights in the movie:
The CAMERA was being manipulated to represent the EMOTION of the moment, exactly like music.
Dude, Most bollywood action movies suck!
yeah? you will be hurt a lot when you watch hunter x hunter. dude i was so heartbroken when one of em dead. but take it easy there
U mean Andy assasination at the start of the movie ? I mean Andy was in charge after his Boss death and Bejo who assasinated And was his boss boss. Andy also letting those cops (his brother and two officers) leave must make Beho angry and got tip by Reza that theres this rookie that still survived and walking about. Thats why Bejo killed Andy because hes getting over the line here.
Also with the death of his brother Rama are pulled into this again and have more personal reason to see this through.
