Fortnite og was a different timeline which is why things were different.

chapter 5 is literally the exact inverse of season og, aka its complete ass
What a fun month November was. OG was Peak Fortnite reincarnated. Was so happy to land at Greasy again.
Also Lewis Hamilton of all people getting his own skin was absolutely fire as an enormous fan of his.
I think a lot of the ‘mistakes’ on the map were actually the time line being messed up
Imagine:
The Time Machine, blips into 2018, along with jonsey and the loopers. The OG’s rejoice, unaware that their lust for the past has ruined their present. Volcanos disappear, castles crumble. This was, their CANNON EVENT.
To quote a wise turtle: One offen seals their fate on the path to avoid it.
Epic doesn’t care about the storyline anyway and you’re just making an excuse for Epic’s laziness. This is proven by the fact the cube island disappeared for no reason in the event and the fact that there was no point in keeping Dusty Depot in season X

a lot of events didnt cannonically happen in season og like the volcano event and the monster vs mech which shows that the timeline was REALLY messed up (i can say they didnt happen cannonically because polar peak was just not there to have the monster on and there was no volcano , which in turn didnt erupt , which in turn didnt create neo tilted which in turn made the sword used in the event to make the mech win never exist) and from a voice message from dr slone literally said "Alright. Short version. You're back here for a reason. You're smart enough to figure it out and it's not to change the future, by the way; drop that fantasy right now." so she says the black hole event HAD to have played out in one way or another even if there was no need to do so because the zero point wasnt destabilized@@DannoDoesntadvocateforpeace

I think I agree with that ending statement a ton - this was probably the most fun I had playing Fortnite again since sometime early ch2. I definitely still think it wasn’t quite on point with the original ch1, but very good for what it was.
Chapter 1 is still unbeaten but this was pretty damn close for me!
Honestly the best video I've seen on the season! Cheers to season 5, but nothing will beat the classic.

Hey jakus, I've been absolutely loving the content on your channel and i have even decided to finish off a mini br map i started last december but I've been struggling with making a city POI and the ones you have made are awesome and so I was wondering if you woukd be able to make a tutorial/ guide as to how to make a good city PoI.
It was fun but it just wasnt the same the look and feel of season 6 and 7 were just different I feel like they could have made it so much better
11:09 nah i was disappointed for the lack of storyline AND Eminem having 2 songs. they just did his fastest verse and his most commercially successful. i wouldve loved his concert to be separate for that reason, as a top 0.5% eminem fan on spotify
I think the Big Bang event could’ve been better, but I really liked it. I ended up missing the first showing, I got lucky when they announced a re-run of it. Me and my friends logged in an hour and a half before just so we garentee to get in

I was wrong. I thought the Big Bang was going to be a repeat of 10:44 because it was apparently supposed to be rated E for Everyone. You know what that means💀
But the big bang event WASNT a fracture, it was a wild ride!

Short answer: yes.
I was bored of the “og map” theme after my first 1 1/2 games on day 1 of season OG. In the end we didn’t really want the map, we wanted to be kids again in 2017 having a blast, but that’s impossible because we still have our 2024 player base
Buried Treasure was there, I found it just once.
I don’t count Fortnite OG as a chapter 4 season because it doesn’t say chapter 4 season OG on the cosmetics that were in that season, so therefore chapter 4 had no live events whatsoever and the Big Bang was just a remixed end event that featured a bunch of new things that are coming in chapter 5

CH 5 Creative 1.0 Crashing
NEW CHAPTER 5. As of 12/3/23, 11:30am EST, Fortnite Creative 1.0 has CRASHED on me 4 times, while working on a new map I’m building. Each time this throws be back into the PS5 SONY lobby. I log back into Fortnite… and each time Fortnite puts me in a QUEUE, that gets longer and longer.
First Crash: 6 minute Queue.
2nd Crash: 15 minute Queue
3rd Crash: 35 minute Queue
Now the 4th Crash: over 1 hour Queue!
Battle Lab doesn’t work yet. You can’t bring in the BR map into your Creative zone, to explore the new map by yourself, as I’ve done before when playing Bots.
As of now, Chapter 5 and its parts are very unstable or not working yet. I’m done map building and Fortnite until this all gets fixed. So far, my maps are still safe, from all this crashing.

But honestly I was bored. Chapter 4, Season 4 was peak imo.
the problem is that epic games dont have the balls to add some goofy wacky stuf that woud be realy fun and a litle bit unbalanced like minigun and ballers and planes without fuel
This will forever be known for me as the season that shattered any hope for the community of this game, they finally got what they had been begging, screaming, and harassing the developers to get for YEARS, and all they did was complain, and complain, and complain, until it finally ended, when they started complaining about it leaving.
I hope OG doesn't come back, the playerbase doesn't deserve to get what they want anymore, and epic does not deserve the harassment they have been getting for just trying to please everyone.

i think bringing back OG was a horrible idea. It ruined the nostalga and the game will get almost no players next year if they make the mistake of bringing it back.
