    I know I'm a bit late to the party but where did you get your suspension fitted.
    I'm kitting out my BT50 and would like similar set up to yours.
    I got my full length canopy from "My Canopy " too.
    Anyhoo, Happy New Year.

    Hey, is there any issues fitting the new headlights on the older model? I can't find any information anywhere about which ones are compatible with my 2014 XTR UP. I've found its the only thing I didn't like on my ute is the orange indicator lenses, the clear ones look shit loads better. Cheers

    Will 295x70x17 tires with stock rim (bt50 3.2 auto dualcab 2019),fit on stock suspension? Thanks again

    • @123mj1234
      @123mj1234  4 роки тому

      SpecificGamer_ 24 They should fit on stock suspension with +20 offset wheels like mine, but I’m not sure if they will fit with stock wheels as they might rub on the UCAs. 285/75/16 and 285/70/17 (33s) will fit if you want to drop down a size.

    • @123mj1234

      Yep you would think so but Trail Grapplers are a big tyre for their size, Nitto list the overall diameter as 852mm. These are a fair bit bigger than the 305/70/16s I ran before, definitely a cool size though.

    why did you choose a BT-50 over the other ute options? (genuine question not hating on any brand)

    • @123mj1234
      @123mj1234  4 роки тому +3

      josh b I could talk about this for ages but basically I think the BT is the best compromise of power, capability and value for money out of all the IFS utes. To be honest none of the new utes are without their horror stories, but I’ve had a really good run with the BT so far. And they’ve got a much stronger front end and can fit big tyres easier than most of the others 👍

      @@123mj1234 ah nice, yeah everyone seems to think a couple brands are terrible for things compared to others.
      I have an 07 ranger because that and the bt-50 are IMO the best utes of that age, but only 2wd since its for work.
      if for some reason I somehow could afford a new ute in the next few years, I would personally probably go for an Isuzu, but the BT would be up there

      @@123mj1234 nice thanks for reply. I’m a former patrol owner and all my other rigs been live axles front and rear. Just bit unsure to get an ifs dual cab but got no option as unless you got coin for a ram there is no other option

    • @123mj1234
      @123mj1234  3 роки тому +1

      as someone who also has a patrol, IFS is better in every scenario except low range 4wding. And even then you can still drive some pretty hard tracks, you’ve just gotta drive stuff a lot slower because the steering setup is so much weaker. If you’re going proper hard 4wding every few weeks, IFS probably isn’t for you - but if you’re just going camping with an occasional casual fourby it wins every time imo.

      Any idea of the IDRIVE THROTTLE controller,is this can help my bt50(3.2 auto), planning to fit bigger tires maybe 33s or 35s,especially during take off and offroading,thanks

    • @123mj1234
      @123mj1234  4 роки тому

      SpecificGamer_ 24 personally I think throttle controllers are a waste of money. They don’t do anything that you couldn’t do by pushing the pedal down more. The only practical use of them is to decrease throttle response for more control off road. If you actually want to go faster get a remap, otherwise just accept the small loss in power with running big tyres.

    How do the Nittos go on the track, highway, in the wet and are they noisey? thinking of getting them

    • @123mj1234
      @123mj1234  4 роки тому +1

      David Hurley They’re awesome on the road, so much grip on both wet and dry tarmac, quiet for an M/T and wear very well. They’re also basically indestructible off road, but they don’t perform as well in thick mud as I’d like and take very low pressures to bag out properly. In saying that they’re still by far the best all round tyre I’ve run out of the BFG KM2s and Hankook M/Ts I ran before this. Unless you drive in slippery mud every weekend you won’t be disappointed.
