Today, Trevor is ranking Embers TOP 5 PELLET SMOKERS!! Let us know what you think of the grills in the shop. We have individual videos for most of these grills so if you want to learn more be sure to check those out!
    #5 Traeger Ironwood - blazingembers.com/search-resu...
Traeger is one of the most well known pellet smokers. This is a solid grill and has so many capabilities. Traeger made it to the top 5 because of their mobile app. They have a well designed app and helps you set up and work your grill. Another thing that stands out about this grill is the accessories that Traeger makes. We made a video where Trevor smoked a brisket from Traeger Provisions.

    #4 Weber SmokeFire - blazingembers.com/search-resu...
We know we'll get a lot of heat for this one. The first generation of the model has produced some serious tragic stories. However, this model seems really good and has addressed the issues from the previous model. The Weber mobile app is really nice too. Its somewhat similar to Traeger where it shows you content and helps you cook! Be sure to stay tuned for the new SmokeFire video!
    #3 Traeger Timberline - amzn.to/3LK3W3A (Paid Link)
The Traeger Timberline is an absolute beast. This smoker is so cool and a nice upgrade from the previous model. In our full review of this video Trevor smokes a tomahawk then sears it on the electric side burner afterwards!!

    #2 Memphis - blazingembers.com/search-resu...
We really like Memphis for multiple reason. first off the exterior of theses grills look so good and solid. They are stainless steel with really nice sharp corners. Another reason why Memphis is so good is because they can fit into an outdoor kitchen. Having the ability to fit into an outdoor kitchen bring this grill up to the top 2.

    #1 Coyote - blazingembers.com/search-resu...
Reasons why the Coyote Pellet Grill is an amazing grill:
    1. Easy to use
    2. Perfect Temperature control with the meat probe
    3. Ability to sear a steak
    4. Because its pellet you get a smoke flavor
This coyote can be a stand alone grill or be apart of an outdoor kitchen. This is truly an amazing revolutionary machine. Watch out for our next video where we cook up some beef jerky on the Coyote Pellet Grill!

I bought the Weber because it is American made and was hoping the gen2 fixed the gen 1 problems. I just did my 2nd cook on it and I am extremely pleased with it, no issues at all. Bummed to hear a new model is coming out shortly but this grill is great.

The pitts and spitts is nice with the stainless steel and classic smoker look. The only worthy upgrade on the traeger is the added cook top. But it also takes your storage and you can only sear 1-2 steaks at a time

I have a Memphis and its a 2017 model..the mid tear unit. We use this grill at least twice a week from ribs, brisket, chicken, steaks and baked goods, desserts...you name I cook it. I even made pizzas with a stone on there but cause I was a good boy for Christmas my wife got me a Alpha pizza oven. I have had 0 issues with this Memphis, easy to clean on the inside and take care of. 0 electronic issues and I have 3 probe ports and the probes still work. Truely heavy duty, very sealed unit that captures a fair amount of smoke. Is it as good as a offset smoker, no, but good enough for us especially being convenient and easy grill to set and forget. Being SS is also a plus..no painting when they rust and very easy to clean and keep the outside looking good.

I love your videos and I'm a massive BBQ fan from the UK! I currently have a PK360, WSM and a Weber Spirit. I've sold the spirit (mainly want to move away from gas, for both flavour and to stop giving money to Putin), but need to replace it with something that is my 'daily cooker'. I have two really young kids (and I'm a single parent) so firing up the PK each night isn't an option.
I have been flipping between an Ironwood 885 or a 2nd gen EX6 for a few weeks and was going to go for the EX6. Your review was SO HELPFUL where you showed how quick the SmokeFire gets to temperature, and its ability to grill easily - this is what I'll mainly use it for.
The reason for the comment is a thank you for your in depth, objective reviews and for also letting us know there's something in the pipeline for the SmokeFIre - I assume it isn't the 'stealth model' right? In which case I'm going to hold off that purchase for a little bit longer until your new SmokeFire video comes out!
Can't wait to visit if I ever get to visit Denver (which I hope to one day to watch the Broncos)!

I have the Timberline 850. When I heard they were coming out with an upgrade, I was excited ..... until I saw the price. If you really want a comparison, you'd now have to look at the Ironwood 650 vs. the New Timberline (I suspect they'll be dropping the 850 and 1300, they're not featured on the web site any longer). That's a difference of $2,250! Is the new Timberline nice? Yeah, but not 3x nicer. I'd probably get a Lone Star Grills pellet smoker first. They're made in the US, even the control board and about 2/3 the price of the Traeger.

Love your videos Trevor. I bought my Napoleon Prestige 825 based on your recommendation, but I'm not sold on your pellet grill list as they all seem cheaply made with giant price tags. I've been on the waiting list for the Lone Star pellet smoker for a couple of months with a couple more to go, but I think it's going to be worth the wait. I realize you can't sell them, but for the money I'm really hoping it's the way to go. 100 percent made in America, thicker steel, 6 probes, large capacity, easy clean outs, and heavy duty construction with a lifetime warranty on all non wearable parts. Hope I'm making the right decision. Thanks for your videos, they're super helpful when making these life changing decisions.👍👍

So I am on my second Gen 2 Weber Smokefire in less than a month. I wouldn't put them in the top 5. The first 1 got stuck in recovery mode and there was no way to get it out. The wifi also didn't work and the probes stopped working after 1 use. Had to return it to HD. Got another one, on my first long smoke I had 2 temp drops within the first 3 hours that I have no explanation for. No error message. I have also had 2 E3 errors, one during the first long smoke the other while cooking burgers. I still lose connectivity to the smoker as soon as I am out of Bluetooth range. The flavorizor bars also fall a lot probably due to the poor design of they are held in place. Got low fuel warnings multiple times and I just had to move the pellets around. And both smokers needed to update but it gets about halfway through and fails. One time it actually finished downloading the update, rebooted the smoker but the software wasn't updated. This thing has a lot of issues. Cheap software, not a great design either. The pellet box on the back seems like a good idea but because it is narrow it's easy to spill pellets. To have problems with two smokers right out of the box seems like more than just bad luck. I like the high temp for searing which is why I went with it but at this point it's not worth the hassle. Hopefully webers support is better this time around. Any recommendations on a quality pellet smoker with good searing capabilities?

Interesting vid. Random thoughts: 1) Quite the tease about a new Smokefire. I assume you're referring to something other than the Stealth. Figured they were working on a Gen 3, as Gen 2 was an obvious band-aid. 2) The new Traeger TL is gorgeous, with lots of interesting features. But it's a lot of money for a company with a "pop can" reputation. 3) Whole lot of folks having problems with Memphis wi-fi. I blame the Traeger law suit for some of that. Finally, I'm leaning towards Lone Star Grillz pellet model, but they're direct-to-consumer, so not on your radar.

To counter the fears of Traeger by everyone I have a personal take. I hated Traeger, I used to have a pro 22 maybe 4 years ago now and it put a very sour taste in my mouth in terms of their company’s take on a quality product that led me back to charcoal. I took a huge risk getting the new Timberline xl and it has been pretty incredible enough so that I will choke my pride and say Traeger finally made a quality product. No more paint to peel off and a 10 year warranty on a smoker that is built like a tank. It can smoke and sear. It delivers to the promises they made about it and the only downside is the bugs to the new software in seasoning mode off the bat which has to be taken with stride given the newish-ness of it. I know the price is cringey but as an owner who doesn’t like their other smokers, I confirm this new and first premium product they have is well worth the cash if you can financially afford it.
