I ordered the Shepherd 1-8x28 with the 34mm tube for $300 from PSA....should get it tomorrow....got the Monstrum 34mm 20 MOA mount with the built in bubble level. Based on the 5-25x56 Shepherd scope that I got for $249 from PSA which I mounted on my Rock River Arms A4 Varmint upper with the 24" barrel in 5.56 (Wylde chamber) and it is so accurate right out of the box (hand lapped barrel so no break-in required). I sighted it in at 100 yards using AAC 77 grain ammo. Of course I bore sighted it at home before I went to the range. Then I did my final 5 shot group with Black Hills MK 262 Mod1 C 77 grain ammo. I used a lower with the Giessele SSA-E trigger. lt is now my most accurate semi-auto rifle and as accurate as any bolt action match rifle. Wow what a sweet shooter!!!!!

Mine was sitting on my porch when I came home at noon .
Cost me a whopping 199 and 30 for the one piece base 34mm...
Already loctite . Installed and zeroed at 100 yds .
It's a tad bit longer than my 1 to 8 Arken
    Every bit as nice. ..
Illuminated reticle was bright enough in daylight
But needs to be brighter at 1x to be usable for a true multi range scope'.
    Glass is great 👍

I think with a 5yard close focus, we would be concerned that ppl might use this indoors and shoot their eye out? Haha, nice review as always.

Be sure to put a drop of loctite on your Lil lever at focal ring .
Don't use both ...it splits in 2
    Use just half..
Save the other for a back up .
4 pieces...full length is too damn tall 😅
Kill flash shows up in the sight picture too much to be used .
It's a nice thought ..but worthless

I've got an issue with the illuminated reticle on Discovery
At 3 x and higher the horse shoe that is illuminated creates a big halo or glare off of it ...
Makes it unusable with illumination on ....
I'm currently loading a video about it .
Should be up in an hour .
My arken does not do this

Did you ever contact discovery and warranty it/get another one? I wonder if this happens with all these optics or if your specific optics was defective. Thanks.

@@zakiramjan9822 After back and forth discussion they informed me that they are aware of this issue and so far have no solution ..so they said if they sent me another it would be the same problem..
They gave me 50% off code and I applied it towards my 4th PRS Gen2 HD 5 x 35 FFP...I was happy with that .. love that scope ..
I discussed with them my suspicion that the glare and bloom is most likely the coatings on the lens ...and to start to experiment with those..
they are a very nice company to deal with.
it's a nice scope except for that defect and I decided Id rather keep it for a lousy 200 dollars its still filling a role ..
although Ive moved onto my new favorite Primary Arms SLX Prism 1x and 3x
bought 1 of each and love em ...
