November 1st, 2018. Just got received King Song KS-18XL demo unit to test out. It is about 6lbs heavier than the 18L sitting at 54.8lbs. Has 1554Wh battery with 6 parallel battery packs 20 Cells each (6p20s). The pedal is the biggest of all the EUC's at 9.75 inches. Impressive it can be charged at 10Amps!
The bigger pedals help with commanding more power and change of direction like in idling. The KS-18XL with the bigger pedals is definitely easier to do idling vs the KS-18L. But it still doesn't make it as easy as with a KS-14D. I don't even have to think to do idling on the KS14D.
OUTSIDE Temperature was 65 degrees F.

Eddie -- im curious what full body protection you use? looking for all in one suit of "armor" if possible, any recommendations that have perhaps saved your life in a spill ?

Jesse Toth I have motorcycle gear. Jacket and pants. Might be a little bit expensive. I use also motorcycle knee/shin and forearm/elbow guards.

WOW you make riding look sooo easy, I have a inmotion V5F had it 3 weeks and still struggling just to get on it can't seem to get feet in right place it just feels so wobbly left to right everyone i see jumps on and looks super stable , if I went for a bigger wheel would that help ? it's not for commute just fun going to local shop , very frustrated maybe not everyone can learn to ride these, I think I'm one of them. had so many crashes.

It is normal to feel like you cannot learn this. What I can tell you is you absolutely can. I bought my first EUC back in 2014, took me three years to muster the resolve to learn it. Every time I got on, it felt impossible. What I learned in 2017 is that nothing is impossible. You just have to try and try again. I don’t know if you remember what it was like to learn to ride a bicycle. I’m sure the feeling in the beginning, the fear, is the same. The sense it was impossible to learn was the same. Watch some of the how to videos and try again the next day. At some point it will click and you will remember that you once felt it was impossible. Remember the feeling. And remember when you do succeed it isn’t impossible to learn your next skill. Every little thing requires practice and learning on EUC. Turning left is different than turning right. Going backwards, jumping, one legged riding. It is harder for an adult to learn on a 14”. It is also bearded to learn on a 18”. Perfect would be 16”. Don’t worry too much. You will get it. Gear up and don’t be afraid to fall.

@@333ingee I used to crush a lot with my Ninebot One A1, I was so frustrated and it totally felt like I made a wrong purchasing decision back then. I can ride like 5km on the side walk with 1~2 crushes after a week. Nowadays I ride in snow. I ride about 8 km every day though, it just takes time and practice.
As I have graduated from 14 inch EUC I'm thinking about getting a bigger and faster one like the KS18XL or Ninebot Z10, or even KS18s or Gotway Monster which offers a seated option. I really have a hard time choosing from them. I want waterproof and wide tubeless on the Z10, slim design and larger battery on the KS18XL, and an optional seat accessory.

18XL seems slow to accelerate .

Yes, but that is what I’ve said of all 18” wheels when compared to smaller wheels. Simple physics. But the bigger pedal of the 18XL allow you to accelerated faster than the 18L. Both of which can accelerate faster than the MSX.

You would know, you have ridden both wheels.
