I've had the Komplete s88 for a while now, thanks to yet another of your great videos, it is working as it should with Komplete control and Cubase 12. Keen to know any new tricks you discover, and, keep up the good work.
Loved this. Will appreciate more reviews on what you have learned. Just got this and finding it a learning curve as there are few videos I’ve found with is use
Nice. Question: Can you use the knobs on the keyboard to adjust parameters within 3rd party VST plugins? E.g. can you twiddle the knobs of a compressor plugin, say threshold and output, at the same time with the physical knobs? If so, what's the workflow like as far as switching between plugin instances and being able to instantly alter parameters with the physical knobs on the fly?
Hmm interesting question yes. I think you only get the full integration with the NI instruments when you run them in the Komplete Kontrol plugin. You can add third party instruments there as well m.ua-cam.com/video/0aQrlduCea4/v-deo.html But I’m not sure you can do that with plugins like compressors and such (currently not at my DAW). But maybe someone else knows?
Thanks for your tutorial!
Groet, Erwin ;-)
Thanks! so, I notice you had Komplete Kontrol Ext - I also have this checked for 'visible' and 'in All' MIC - but what does this entry speak to? Do you know? Thanks. Nice music at the end of the video! :-)
Hi Milena, this forum thread may help: www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/confused-on-input-output-labeling-ext-daw.270025/ I have to say with the full Cubase integration I'm mostly using "Komplete Kontrol DAW" in the Studio Setup dialog now. As for the music, it is just from the standard UA-cam sound library of copyright free music ;).
Thanks for this Tutorial 🤝 At the end of the week I will buy the S49, I also use cubase (12 pro) so the explanation of the settings in cubase came in handy that saves a lot of searching 😉 Am also curious how it works in cubase with midi remove has that gone well with you ?
Great, have fun with your new keyboard 😀😎! Unsure what you mean with midi remove though. if you just use the komplete integration as intended it works fine.
@@LanewoodStudios sorry for the confusion I meant midi remote, was that in cubase 12 plug and play ? I have already saved some tutorials, so I know a little bit about what I might run into, had a stroke in March so have to learn a lot of things again so also English unfortunately there is little to find on UA-cam that is in Dutch, but will be fine. Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk2 - DAW 1 Driver is always missing when I open Cubase 12 Pro. I need to uninstall and reinstall all drivers after logging in. Vert frustrating
I thought you were right when I just checked my installed devices in Cubase, because everything from Komplete Kontrol was missing in my 'Studio Setup' in Cubase as well. But then I noticed that everything was ok if the keyboard is turned on and connected via USB. All Komplete Kontrol items then return automatically. Is that not your problem as well?
@@LanewoodStudios - No. The moment I turned off my system everything is gone foe good. Reinstalled Komplete Kontrol 20 times, disabled all antivirus, and all possible scenarios. Still couldn’t figure out.
@@vindsoft ok that’s not the case over here. Very annoying But can imagine. Did you check the cubase and/or NI forums? Maybe there are people with similar problems.
@@LanewoodStudios I did. Not of much help! I’m also trying to find out why the keyboard has DC input pin when its bus powered. I couldn’t find this info in the manual or online anywhere.
absolute no interest in any VST or sample libary stuff, but looks like the mk2 is exactly what i am looking for now, it`s cheap AF because the release of the mk3, and the mk3 is just a waste of money upgrade. win win :)
Wow ik was echt op zoek naar dit filmpje! Fijn dat je die gemaakt hebt!
Goed te horen 👍
Any more experiences with Komplete kontrol out there? I'd like to know all your tips and tricks 😉!
Great intuitive video. I've just bought S49 so is very useful

This has been very good video. Question: How does the MID mode buttons come into play (on/off)? Any suggestions for better workflow in Cubase?
Which MID button do you mean exactly? Or do you mean the midi button on the Komplete Kontrol hardware?

So it's been a few months. Did you learn why only 10 bass instruments come up in your browser window? See this video at about 10:30
No not really. Any idea?
Does it work with cubase 10.5 ?
Never tried it with that version but the used driver is pretty old already, so I would think so.
