Such sad news. Janice Long was such a legend! Definitely one of my favourite TOTP presenters. She loved music and it showed on TV and on her radio shows.
I saw Janice at her very first Radio 1 live event. She was guest DJ at an 18Plus Caister Weekend show. She was so nervous but the crowd of about 1500 really supported her at she thanked everyone at the end. She did a very good show despite the nerves
I was born in '85 so too young for the live broadcasts, but my dad taped TOTP from 1984 and I loved Janice (and John) from the get-go. Something about her, like your aunt. One of my favourite TOTP presenters. RIP Janice, I shall remember you fondly when looking at chart rundowns.
R.I.P Janice. Just listening to a tribute show on Greatest hits radio. What a bubbly personality which will be sadly missed.

still don't seem the same since Janice Long passed away,Im often watching all the old Top of the Pops shows,She was quite popular on a lot of the 80's Top of the Pops shows,I also remember them days well enough,Hope Heaven is treating you well Janice,Never be forgotten
She was brilliant. A total legend and a natural on Top Of The Pops with her sunny personality.

damn, I remember her on TOTP and I never knew she was Chegger's sister who also sadly passed away 5 years ago.
Those were the days, loved TOTP and the radio 1 roadshow in the school summer holidays. Radio 1 was great back then. Now when I listen it just sounds like auto tuned rubbish.....I'm officially old 😂😂
