Nomi might have saved mine. I'm not kidding. I'm planning to move north after living in the south all my life. I'm *SO* looking forward to hikes in the snow, reveling in the beauty, then returning to the warm house that smells of something cooking. The rare times it's snowed here, I ADORED doing that, but that was hiking on places I know well. Had I not seen this video, I *would* have tried a hike in snow like that through a place I didn't know well once I get moved up there. Now? Nope. NO. No way. Thank you, Nomi. Sincerely.❤

Nomi, I’m 77 🚺🇨🇦 and I strongly, very strongly advise, when you get up to the Yukon and the Arctic, that you do not go alone! I strongly advise that you go with a tour group in the Arctic especially, even northern BC can very dangerous places full of wild animals, lots of bears, and it doesn’t matter what colour bear you encounter, every bear is a dangerous bear. Please start looking into Tours through northern BC and the Yukon. When you get to the Yukon & Alaska, you’ll be able to find tours that go into Alaska & the Arctic I’m sure. Please do not go on your own.

Nice video Nomi. Love the footage of Lake Tahoe. Beautiful. Would be a good idea to carry a physical map on a hike just in case cell phone service goes off.
As you can see they had a very heavy snow fall this winter. Going out on a trail snow packed that has winter storm warnings is not smart. Do you remember the story about the Donner party? Make smart decisions. They got over 7 FEET of snow. You could drop in and be found next summer
I have that same little rice cooker. There are so many different things that can be cooked in it besides rice. I use it to warm up leftovers too. Love that little cooker!
Flew into So Lake years ago. Tricky landing. It was beautiful. It’s too bad the weather wasn’t better for you. You can see elevated lakes in the mountains when departing by plane. That’s something you’ll never see when driving in.

I am glad you didn't see a bear..... they are usually out this time of the year...
Omg! Im glad you made it OUT! I lost a Best Friend to the Snow . He was A Coast Guard Veteran, he went missing and they Didn't find him till a Month Later, Buried in the Snow, ( Deceased ) : (
Good morning Nomi! Good morning Fam!
Lake Tahoe is BEAUTIFUL! It's so peaceful there!
I sure hope she reads these comments!
Glad you are ok - one of the biggest surprises that can be very dangerous in snowy woods, is tree wells. They surround the base of a tree and can be very deep! - you learned your lesson, safely, thank goodness! Lake Tahoe is beautiful - I lived in Southern California for 5 years and I kick myself for never going up to Lake Tahoe. I cannot believe that I didn't but I was in my twenties and I didnt have time or money enough to go. One day I will go there now, though. I really am happy I saw your video because I have a taste of what it's like - 😍 Lake Tahoe has several ski areas. I would love to go there since I am a skier!
Thank you for the travel videos! I LOVE them!
Can hardly wait to see your new build!! 🫶
I really hope mentally you’re doing okay… some decisions as of late are concerning. Safety first. Adventures always after. ❤❤
Bring bear spray-always... also, a Garmin in mandatory for solo travels. There s no rush... get prepared .
Yes winter is there , be careful it looks slippery that is too scary for me see you in your next video.
Hey Nomi hve a blessed day and stay safe and prayed up
Tahoe is beautiful and it’s also known for its bears. They are waking up😉
Nice video Nomi.
Love the footage of Lake Tahoe. Beautiful.
Would be a good idea to carry a physical map on a hike just in case cell phone service goes off.
That had me nervous because I was thinking “what if she loses cell service” 😟
@@reemcfallThere was just so much she didn’t consider re: this ‘adventure.’ That’s super scary to me. 💯
@@CMane she did admit she hadn’t thought it through and would never do that again. 🤗
As you can see they had a very heavy snow fall this winter. Going out on a trail snow packed that has winter storm warnings is not smart. Do you remember the story about the Donner party? Make smart decisions. They got over 7 FEET of snow. You could drop in and be found next summer
Your comments about the snow are the best part of your video. True in all situations!
I have that same little rice cooker. There are so many different things that can be cooked in it besides rice. I use it to warm up leftovers too. Love that little cooker!
I don't think anyone wants to see snow right now. Im finally seeing green 😎
I'm retired in SE Asia now and I relish the snow scenes, they make me feel cooler 🥶
Hey, thanks again for sharing your journey! I don't don't do the snow hiking thing, but I enjoy seeing it from your perspective 👍
I'm so intrigued that the trail could even be mapped, looks obscure. You are Fierce!💪🏽 Do you and be safe!🤩
Cant wait to see the progress. Love your adventures ❤
Some of these “adventures” she does and places that she stays are plain ole stupid…and dangerous.
Lack of knowledge and planning.
What kind of words are u using calling her dumb and stupid. Is that encouraging words. She knows what she's doing
I'm glad you're ok everyone makes mistakes ❤
Glad you came out of that hike safely and took away a very valuable lesson from it! Your setup looks so cozy. 🤗🤗 Tracey from San Diego
I am so glad you made it out of the mountains safe. I was worried for a minute but you did the right thing and trust your instincts always be safe
I enjoy seeing the beautiful scenery! I would have preferred seeing you with your walking sticks!😊
Flew into So Lake years ago. Tricky landing. It was beautiful. It’s too bad the weather wasn’t better for you. You can see elevated lakes in the mountains when departing by plane. That’s something you’ll never see when driving in.
Welcome to my home state! Girl you had me on pins and needles. I’m so glad you’re safe. ❤
Glad you’re safe! You should show us more of your one-pot meals!! You’re so creative 😊
I agree. And an experienced hiker would have had proper boots on for the amount of snow that accumulated in the area. Was not worth it. Stay safe always! 🙏
