Hi again, Brendan - thanks for another great video. As I'm still starting out, I have a question about whether you also experienced your hands slipping down to the end of the sticks during exercises like these, and whether you have any tips to maintain a firmer grip against all the rebound shock, if you will?

In instances like that, I think you need a firmer fulcrum grip. Squeeze a bit more between your index finger and your thumb, and also make sure you have a slight downward angle from your elbow to the tip of the stick. The stick should be comfortable in your hand and relatively loose, but if it's moving around that much - you may just need to squeeze a bit more. You might get a nice blister but eventually a callus on your thumb. Otherwise, make sure your other fingers are also wrapped around the stick, those should help keep the stick in place better too. Sometimes the best move is overcorrecting, so try squeezing way too much and then figure out how much you can relax that grip so that it's comfortable and not sliding around.
Let me know if this helps or if something else comes up!
