- I explain all of NINE’s quirks from the new My Hero Academia ‘Heroes Rising’ Movie. We also examine HOW he is capable of holding 9 quirks and his backstory.
Heroes Rising released in Japan in December and will be showing around the world in 2020. It follows class 1A during a work-study on a remote island, when they are attacked by Nine, who is looking to steal a specific quirk on the island.

Why can't there just be a villain, like a *Main* villain that has one quirk but is so good with it that they won't have to introduce multiple quirks to make him intimidating like Stain or Overhaul?
I hear you; multiple quirks just make them so much more intimidating because you don’t know what else they have up their sleeve

I honestly don’t care about how many quirks they have. I rather have a villain that’s smart and realistic than be unreasonably op like I don’t want the strength of the villain to be the only strength point of the character.

Plot twist nine can’t take midoriya’s quirk because one for all can’t be taken by force SO one for all will automatically come back to midoriya and midoriya saves the day

He looks like a carbon copy of All For One but with hair tbh. Also the doctor could probably have a quirk that can temporarily duplicate someone's quirk and give it to someone for a short amount of time. Who knows?

I think the Doc quirk might be the ability to create quirks. It would explain how the League can keep creating Nomu after AFO was imprisoned.

Alright then so, quirks talked about in this video: 1) weather wizard shenanigans. 2) I know what your power level is/BS detector (I sense f*ckery in our midst)/Fourth wall vision (like how us the audience get a descriptive exposition to a new character’s quirk at times). 3) I HaVe dRagooOOnS, ThEy aRe CoOOol. 4) actually Freeza’s death beams. 5) a genuine freaking A.T. Field. 6) all your powers are belong to me. 7) ineffective regeneration (Man, it seems that everyone can heal better than me) All in all, man I would love to have any these powers in MHA, though if I had to pick for myself, it would be weather wizard shenanigans, the freaking A.T. Field, and the weird scouter/BS detector/Fourth wall vision thing.

Just wanna clarify sth I might've not explained clear enough: the "wind-like" quirk that Nine has is completely different to Inasa's. He only uses it to push away ppl who attack nearby, so it's more like a force that can propel attacks. He uses it mostly for defense. But whenever he uses it, there's like wind surrounding the force, though it's not massive. So, sorry it's not rly "wind" 🤣 he can't control it as Inasa does!

Nine is my favorite anime villain (I don’t watch a lot of anime) because even though he is evil and stuff, he doesn’t usually try and hurt people, and he is super calm and powerful
I just finished the manga up to the latest chapter I feel free of all spoilers.

*If he does obtain One4All from Deku then he’ll in fact have more than 9 quirks, since Deku have access to previous users quirks. This might cause 9’s body to self destruct or something similar*

I think it more like a force field
I think I figured out what nine’s quirk weakness is. Look at the quirks he took:
1. Steal quirks
2. Finger lasers
3. Weather control
4. Summon dragon
5. Shields
6. Shockwave generation
7. Scouter vision
8. Cellular regeneration (doesn’t work)
9. Empty slot (maybe one for all)
What do all of these quirks have in common?
They are all emitter types. I think his quirks weakness is that he can’t steal a quirk if it is a transformation or a mutant type. The other weakness is his condition gets worse with the more quirks he steals.

It might just be that he just stole those specific Quirks instead, I do think the weakness of his Quirk Steal is actually two things:
The fact he degenerates more with each Quirk he takes so it causes Physical Damage to him
The fact he can not give back Quirks such as the Cell Regeneration Quirk so if he takes a Quirk that he doesn't know he can't use then he just damaged himself permanently and got a Useless Quirk
Asides from that the weakness would be the same as AFO in having to actually grab someone and keep them held long enough to Shang Tsung them!

Weather Operation - creates and manipulates weather (tornado) hurts his body.
Barrier Quirk - a quirk which makes a invisible barrier which anyone cannot break.
Cell Activation - a quirk from mahoro and katsuma’s dad, which allows him to speed up the activity of his cells.
Finger Energy Quirk - energy orbs and lasers coming from his fingers or nails that is made up of plasma.
Dragon Quirk - a quirk which summons from his back, that is very hard to predict or destroy.
Light Shield Quirk - a quirk that makes a light shield, durable than the barrier one, but this one didn’t handle deku’s 100% lightning bolt.
Scouter Vision - quirk that makes his eyes glow, and can see through people’s strength or power.
All For One - a power to wield quirks to make multiple quirks and pass it to someone.
Steal Quirk - a quirk that can steal other quirks, but cannot steal one for all, because there are too many quirk holders in one for all.

I think Nine also had an unnamed physical enhancement quirk that gave him enhanced durability and strength. One of the pictured hero victims had a rocky appearance with an unnaturally protruding jaw. I guess that that hero had an enhancement quirk that gave Nine his great strength and durability. Remember, Nine was able to grab and hold Midoriya at 8% Full Cowling, and Nine was able to resist most attacks that bypassed his air shield. It possible that one of the four heroes had the quirk-analyzing quirk, but only a couple of heroes shown so far in the series have had purely psychic abilities. I think it's more likely that the other three heroes had the air shield, finger laser, and dragon-summoning quirks, while Nine got the quirk-analysis from a bystander, or perhaps a subject provided by the Doctor.

You have to also remember that OFA is 9 quirks in one so nine can't take it because it bypasses his limit so he would have to ditch his current quirks to use OFA

I think part of it is most people here are anime only and this will have some spoilers for things to come. Are you asking about pirating or just official release?
The movie was released in *cinemas* in Japan, so any ‘leak’ wouldn’t be good quality at all. Also it’s good to support the official release of the dub so that they continue to do it in future!

Anyone else think Nine's power is hilariously lame? Like they already did All for One why make another villain that just has a bunch of quirks at once? Having a villain with just one super versatile and strong quirk would be way more interesting imo.

Why would they kill All Might in an OVA? He’s still alive in the manga.
And when All Might said OfA can only be given willingly, he was referring to someone eating his DNA. Someone couldn’t eat Dekus DNA and steal OfA, it only transfers if Deku wants it to. But that’s separate from someone who has a quirk that can steal it

If this movie does well enough there will most likely be a third one. And no, the anime is continuing. theres wayyyyy too many hype scenes in the manga that has to be animated. The deku and overhaul fight was one of the best animation i´ve ever seen in a few months.

As someone who's watched the movie, if you're not caught up to the manga, DO NOT watch this; it has some massive, and I mean MASSIVE spoilers up to the most recent arc in the manga. This is not an anime-only friendly movie like Two Heroes was.
I feel like Nine is a reference to a lot of anime powers.
The Scan Quirk is similar to a Dragon Ball power scanner, the Blue Eyes White Dragon, and the finger lasers is sort of like the ability of the Stand Tusk in JoJo’s Part 7, where the main character can shoot his finger nails.
btw if ya'll didn't know when nine controls the lighting his eyes glows a lil nod to Hei from darker than black who also controls lighting and electricity.
