I showed this movie to a German friend of mine while we were on tour in Europe in 2010. He spoke English well enough to understand it. We were getting our van the " Fahrtwind " worked on in Stuttgart. He was laughing so loud and hard that they made us leave the shoppe. We just sat on the street and laughed.... Amazing times!!!

This movie was not only a cult hit with the general audience, several musicians from the era remarked at how ridiculous but real the movie was. For example, I believe Ozzy Osbourne or Guns N Roses or a band of the like that stated they started a concert late after getting lost on the way to the stage. Brilliant movie.

I toured with a name oldies rock & roll guy and he was certainly capable of this kind of idiocy on a regular basis. Once they put out a huge big pan of freshly made fried chicken for us and he handled every single piece with his bare hands literally 2 to 3 dozen pieces and then didn't take any of them. Knowing his hygienic habits I passed on the chicken that night.

This was deliberate as it's their way to check if the venue where they will be performing has followed their rider. A rider is a contract that specifies an artist's requirements when performing which includes specific expectations when it comes to hospitality, security, safety and technical equipment. One of the "infamous riders" is the one from Van Halen that specificities "no brown M&Ms" to be served for their snacks on a specific day. David Lee Roth used to go straight to his dressing room to check for those brown M&Ms where he would lose his shit when he sees them. If he sees brown M&Ms, it means that the venue is not up to specification as per the agreement on the rider as there may be more serious mistakes that can potentially harm, maim or kill the band, crew or worse the hundreds or thousands of audience members.
