Lovely song ….I can understand Ritchie harking back to Medieval times and it’s simpler world actually . Although we need the benefits of modern medicine those times must have shared a more authentic sense of community than modern cyberspace and its vicarious piecemeal sterile sound bite environment ….When you hear Ritchie and Candice’s music you get such a feel for this earlier time and community. It reminded me, in some parts, of First of May by the Bee Gees, basically the part that says "we used to laugh until the break of day" reminded me of the part in First of May that says "We used to love while others used to play". Candice may have subconsciously incorporated the melody and similar lyrics because she covered that song before. Don't worry though, there are no living Bee Gees to complain. Barry really hung on for a long time by himself though, didn't he? I miss that guy, and his siblings. Good song and video overall, though, as always.
Methinks you might be right - certainly Ritchie has told "some interesting stories" about how some early Deep Purple Mk. 2 tracks came about ..... ?? !!! ?? Anyway - although I'm not really a fan of "Blackmore's Night" - this track is quite catchy and might even find itself in the charts - imagine Ritchie - just 6 or so months shy of his eightieth - and to be back in the charts !!!

After I learned that Ritchie started "dating" Candice when he was 44 and she was 18 I can't really listen to his music anymore. The whole situation if you read the Wikipedia article seems really creepy to me.
She was just a teen who liked his music and came for an autograph and he essentially took advantage of it.
It is not about the age gap, if he was 54 and she 28, no issue there. But at 18 a girl that has likely barely had any relationship experience being wooed in by a 44 is just distasteful.
Also considering he was pretty popular and had no shortage of women who would date him but specifically went for the youngest possible legal age makes it even worse to me.
Yup, but unfortunately he is in a very large club. Having said that, they are still together, which is pretty unusual in itself.. On a side note, I find her voice quite irritating.
