- Layzie Bone on people from LA feeling disrespected by Bone Thugs music video and Suge Knight allegedly offering 10k for death row members to jump on stage while Bone Thugs was performing.
Man the 90’s hip hop era was special period. So many great artists, groups, everything period. Salute
Before My Auntie Passed Away In 2008 I Was A Kid Back Then She Use Love Some Bone Thugs , Tupac & Nate Dogg Crossroads Was Her Favorite Song 🕊️🕊️💯💯🎶🎶
All the different flavour & styles too
The way Bone was rappin their lyrics AT Death Row at The Source Awards was gangsta in itself. They was daring somebody to have a problem.
This dude is so laid back and chill but at the same time, articulate and engaging. I could sit and listen to Layzie for hours
First time I saw bone was the thuggish ruggish video on the box. I was blown away and was like what the heck is that sound and who are these guys?! Instantly a fan for life.
I remember watching the box in college lol
Hell yeah OG Shit
100% same bro!
Same but it was on MTV. Asked my dad if we can go get the cd. I was 13 back then and still listening to Bone
I’ll never forget randomly watching The Box on my little black and white TV and all of a sudden Thuggish Ruggish Bone came on, from that moment on I was hooked.
Ahhh “the box” talk about nostalgic 😩👍🏾
I remember the Box 📦 . I stayed up late for the videos.
Bone Thugs N Harmony are Legends. And they got Classics.💯💯💯
Eazy Was Used To Ppl Writing His Songs It Took Bone Thugs To Tell OG Eazy-E "Nah Mane You Eazy-E You Write Your Own Voice"🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
Music was so organic back then just the source gathering and making hits
Layzie bone: "as u see that didn't happen.. So that's the end of that story"...(silence )
Me:"😳... Well shit"
😂 That part 😅
😂Exactly!!
He said it's plausible. He hadn't heard the story. Doesn't mean the story is true. Trust and believe as he said, Suge had the money. I'm sure if he wanted it to happen, he could've gotten it done.
Shawty definitely was blowing on that track. Shatasha 💯👍❤️
I thought that was jewell all these years.
Im so glad he answered the whole beanie on fire 🔥 thing. I went back and watched it again and i was dying laughing 😂
That Song was already released by the Hip Hop duo on Ruthless called “Yomo and Maulkie” in 1991 or 1992 with same title and it was Jewell. Same exact hook, same exact voice. It was underground but it was such a dope track they had to give it to Bone.
Correct they was from Wax
The Yomo & Maulkie version was dope too
The Yomo version was weak…Bone’s track is a classic
It wasn't underground. It just wasn't successful.
You are thinking of "Foe Tha Love Of $" that was already a song, not Thuggish Ruggish Bone
Thuggish Ruggish Bone is a forever classic! She sang the shit out of that song.
Yea she did her thing.
bro i think thats magical , i was singing that on my mind before that see ur comment.
1st song i ever knew the lyrics to as a child… 89 baby 💪🏿
Strong voice
DJ U-Neek was amazing💯
"For the love of💰" is my all time fav song from BTNH 💯
"Shatosha" was so hard. She dont have to sing another song, she a legend in one hook ! 🙏🏾
Lol facts
Shatasha dropped a single called Free the next year then I never heard of her again
RIP Eazy E and Jewell 😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏
Everything in the 90s was great music black television like Martin, Fresh Prince, New York Undercover, the show South Central and the Chicago Bulls basketball. can’t get into today’s NBA. These were the good ol days.
Always loved how wishbone started his verse" get ready for the bone and the mo thug!"
Bustaz you kno me as a hustla... Wish got the best one liners I've ever heard.. He really underrated in the group
@@cappbizzness4139"Bustaz you know me as a hustler "..I have been saying that line for at least 25 years str8.
As a fan who follows their music and solo albums to this day, and with the cult fanbase, Wish is the least "Fan Fav" member of the group.
BUT.... back in the 90s, he was the fan fav for the average hip-hop head who wont into the fast flow or couldn't decipher lyrics of the other members.
Everybody and their mama knows the "Man I miss my Uncle Charles Y'all" line!
People can sleep on Wish but a lot of people found him relatable, while others were more fascinated with the mistique and skills of the other members.
@@tonynorris1506 100% agree with your statement
Did you notice how he looked directly at Suge/Death Row when he says the line "drinking me brew til my skull crack/with BLUE all the way back"? I think set trippin on the bloods in death row
Suge be in his feelings too much
Facts
He was most definitely in his feelings when the judge read his sentence
You won't say it to his face tho free suge
@@johnnybraxton5539 man got one foot in the grave and I'm smart enough not to leave my family alone and go to prison to have the opportunity to say it to his face. I'm just a square talking on the Internet like you
Nah rap was realer back then that's why it sucks nowadays people be getting out of line without repercussions
digging all the interviews especially with layzie. shout out to him and btnh and you art! keep up the great work.
Them 90s days was so much more epic when it came to the creations of the songs
Thuggish Ruggish Bone, Foe Tha Luv of Money, and 1st of tha month are classics.
dont forget about "no surrender"
Don’t forget about Creepin on ah come up. Krayzie killed that first verse
Damn straight
@@kabritu.💯
All good’ was another hit 🔥
'OUIJI ARE U WITH ME' ..
will I die of murrrda, of bloody murrrda? Come, come again
I don't mess with that...
There was two videos to "For the love of $", I haven't seen it since the box was on tV..They had different camera shots, a different intro in the video and everything.. I think the song "No surrender was playing as the walked through a building holding briefcases..
Awesome interview Man🔥👍🏽
“As we see it didn’t happen. So that’s the end of that story. “
💀💀🤣🤣
and left it at that. Gangsta
She was robbed of her writer's credit...You make the melody, you're part creator. God Bless her, she's owed millions.
Owed millions? For one song 30 years ago
@@juswavvy9634 If the song made millions, why not?
@@lifestraight she just song the hook not wrote their verses
@@juswavvy9634she’s owned millions. What do you mean?
Being an early 90s baby growing up off this music i appreciate these historical interviews
Her voice was so beautiful and killed it 💯🔥🔥
First of the Month is definitely a Welfare Christmas Carol. It slaps tho.
Fun fact: The beat for "4 the love of money" was on an interlude on one of NWA's albums.
On what album?
Ive been watching you parliament funkadelic..thats what 4 the love of money samples
@@fatgod919exactly, all they doing is sampling from bands that have real talent smh
@@ILoveTheAllCreatoryall be reaching af, y’all act like that beat from Foe the luv of money sounds anything like that parliament beat. Or like Bone had anything to do with the making of the beat. They are the rappers not the producers, plus everyone been sampling everyone idk why yall acting like this something new
@@Aj-me8moi think he's talking about the end of Appetite for Destruction there's a sound that in that song.
I got y’all first album for Christmas fell in love with y’all and Mo thugz 4lyfe❤❤❤❤
Suge speaks highly of Eazy-E these days. I think he respects him for never backing down to him because so many people just ran and called the police
Classic track. Classic album. Classic interview
Foe Da Love of $ was an interlude beat at the end of "Appetite of Destruction" off the last NWA album ... Even the 1-900-Compton skit, the interlude beat is "The Roach" beat used on "The Chronic"
I remember when thuggish ruggish bone came out I was in Chicago and my cousin was driving the Chevy Cavalier on 39th Street up and down all day playing that song on repeat LOL😂
For the ❤ of $ is originally a Yomo and Mualkie song co-produced by Yella and one Jewell Caples is credited as the background singer on their album " Are U Experienced "
Thuggish Ruggish Bone is definitely a top 10 hip hop song of all time…..TO ME
Agreed!👍👌🔥
Damn they had a lot of hits in a short period of time. This was great era of music. And Tashaaaa!
Dude’s gotta be the best bone interviewer he really did his homework and asked allot of original questions.
i wonder what happened with his interview with Krayzie, he only put like one clip out
@@eternal1097 yeah he sure did
In these interviews you can always tell when someone is being real and honest and when someone bullshitting. Lazie Bone is a Real 1🫶🏾BIG UP Bone Thugs🫶🏾
💯
Yes real one 💪🏾
Layzie Bone will not be rattled! I LOVE it! 😅💞👏🙏
Many people don’t know but Eazy did have some writing skills. He wrote his lines for Automobile, Gimme Dat Nut, and I’d rather F you. Mostly the songs that had to do about sex. So he had some writing abilities. Glad Bone convinced him to do his own verse on Foe tha love of money.
I definitely believe he wrote gimme dat nut lol
😂😂 lyrics sitting around from cube doc
@@kingsports1113but those were songs that came out long after Cube left. Just give E his credit.
Art: someone said Suge would pay $10,000 if somebody would run up on stage
Layzie: I don't doubt it, but you see it didn't happen, that the end of that story 😆🤣🤣
“We're not against rap
We're not against rappers
But we are against those thugs“
I always hated both Bush Presidents, straight up racists
I love how Layzie stands his ground when talking about Suge. What did BIG say “N Bleed just like us/Picture me being scared of N that breathe the same air as me.💪🏻💯
That's my shit...."we're not against rappers, but we are against thugs" bone needs their flowers
Suge really took offense on the music video first of the month 💀💀💀 no fucking wonder when Bone performed thuggish ruggish bone at the source awards when Suge supposedly put a bounty on bone heads then in the middle of Layzie verse lay rapped ”better bring yo weapon when stepping bring on that ammunition” he was looking right at suge eyes and the whole deathrow while saying his verse😂 that’s crazy lol
Say whaaaaaaat 😂😂
No way, I missed that!!!
I’m googling now😂

“…and Tashaaahhaa!, Cleveland…” 🤣💪🏾🤙🏾💯
Damn Art, release the full Layzie Bone interview already homie
Her voice gave me chills as a shorty
That album was brazy man🔥🔥🔥
This not one of their more popular songs but, one of my favs is No Surrender. Had my 13 year old self thinking I was a whole gangsta. Talmbout Pow, pow. Good thing my reality check was swift 🤭😁😁
That… shit.. was powerful! And STILL GO HARD till this day!
Yes Shatasha Williams is extremely talented. She remade Deniece Williams - Free . The video is here on UA-cam
Thanks you for spelling her name right. We have some illiterate fools up in here.
"as we see it didnt happen, so thats the end of that story..." BARS
Suge just wanted to be a problem smh. First of the month had nothing to do with Suge
Think it was because the hats on fire , bulldog on fire, b,s on fire and bone was affiliated with nutty block n Southside crip and black hole of watts, a bunch of crips from watts who are still f**kin did bone to this day, lay know what the issue was suge had lol
@@terryharle627Why did some Grape St. Crips Watts Ninja beat the breaks and robbed 1of the bone member at a hotel it's either lazy or the other light skinned cat

A lot of classics come seamlessly
I'm surprised that there's not a compilation of Art saying "Right,Right" LOL
She put them on for real with that hook. They should make sure she straight not saying they wouldn’t make it but that made them pop
Drop the full interview please
Wow great content ❤
Krayzie told a different story
I came to the comments to see if I was the only one who heard Krazys different story.
@@dawayiseeitproductions566 me too
Well yeah he said she was just walking past and they just pulled her off the street. I think that’s what really happened and lazy is mistaken
Krayzie tell stories so good he really don’t sugar coat it. Layzie on the other hand idk 😐 Krayzie and so does Bizzy got a sharp memory during them days. On another interview Layzie talk about how Suge came to Cleveland etc. Dude left Krayzie out the picture cause he was with them. Kray said Wish piss in the police car.
@respectlife216 yeah that was the other version I heard.
Get with her today and yall make another hit
If you listen to NWA's last album Niggz 4 Life you can hear the For the love of money instrumental playing in interlude I think it's a sample though
Foe The Love Of $ Is My Favorite Bone Thugz N Harnony Song!!!
Thuggish Ruggish Bone! World domination when that track dropped! You had to be alive to witness it and live those 90s times! You youngsta need to THANK UA-cam for a chance to revisit the past and get a glimpse in what we was living but it doesn't make it real you still had to be alive and there! I'm so glad I was born in 78! Jordan and PAC and Bone was crazy during those 90s times and their dominance of what they were doing. Never seen anything close after them! Unbelievable 💯
For the Love of Money was origanally realeased by Yomo and Maulkie a couple yrs prior under Ruthless but it was solely produced by DJ Yella… I remember buying the tape but it never really took off because the album was so political… completely opposite of everything Ruthless was puttin out… I imagine since Tuthless had the rights Eazy just saw a diff vision and loaded up the original reels… removed Yomo & Maulkie’s bocals and added Bone’s and yes even in the album credits Jewell was listed as the vocalist. Almost everybody that was under Deathrow was connected to Ruthless prior.
Yeah Satasha went hard on that dj uneek remix of "the points"
FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY was originally on the YOMO & MAULKIE album (Ruthless Records) - that album also had the instrumental version to FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY on it - no one ever mentions YOMO & MAULKIE when discussing this or even ruthless in general
I love his interviews he needs to do another interview
Time to watch 1st of the month video lol
💯
RIP JEWEL 💎🕊️ 🤍🙏🏾
During the imfamous 1995 Source Awards when Bone was performing they were rapping directly at the entire Deathrow camp if you look. Layzie was lookin right at them on Thuggish Ruggish saying “better bring ya weapon when steppin bring on that ammunition/ trip and dont slip, not to mention never knew no competition”!!! Bone was all up there yellin Ruthless and reppin for Eazy E…Deathrow didnt do SH*T!!!! You can see the dudes wearing red…thats also where you see Suge get up from when he went up and dissed Puff
i love eazy's verse on there.
New Yorkers were hating on these cats HEAVILY when their EP came out.
NY hate on everybody they just haters in general even in the streets they will 🐀 in a heartbeat if they feel you getting it more than them
Stop it. We were rocking with BTNH.
You mofo lie we was loving th hell out of these dudes
Being from Cleveland I didn’t feel the love from New York but they sold so many records you would have to think that even New York dudes listen to it
@respectlife216 my guy first of the month was on the radio all the time n that's coming from nyc
Thanks for a good review
The instrumental for Foe Tha Love Of $ was originally for another song. I forgot what it's called but another group had already recorded a song to that beat, and so what Eazy did was just had Bone do they own version, which blew up and became way more popular than the original song
I always wondered how they took Thuggish Ruggish Bone and remixed it with the Doo Doo Brown beat. I have it on one of my running 🏃🏿♂️ playlists.
Love his Voice & Swagg, Cleveland's in da House!👍
The song For The Love of $ was originally performed by another Ruthless Records group called Yomo & Maulkie from their album R U Experienced. The songs had been produced by Yella, and vocals indeed were from Jewell. I love both versions, but Bone & Eazy killed it!
Layzie 🔥🔥 Living legend🙌
That jazz instrumental for love of money is cold.
That song '4 the love of money' was originally from a group on Ruthless called Yomo and Maulkie. A really slept on album.
Wow.. never knew EZ wrote his verse on this song
U believe that bullshit 😂😂
@@jcc3333He actually did Bizzy has said this also, almost exactly the way Layzie did.
I need that on Vinyl
RIP Jewell 🕊️ ❤
We need a DJ U-Neek Interview.
Where not against rap, where not against rappers, but we are against those thugs!!!!
You should def get Tash on a interview, def needs to be brought in for a interview, she also did a few Pac songs "Bury Me A G",ect...also did a song Fukkd in the game from Watts Gangstas...She's on alot of Westcoast classics from the early to mid 90s...
Krayzie said she passed by the studio and they asked if she could sing lol.
Better words: Assessing the talent.
The greatest group of all time
I always thought that the dogs on the hat was on fire because they was dissing the Dogg Pound Lol
Please post the interview in it's entirety
You can tell easy wrote that.
What’s that supposed to mean?
@@Aj-me8mo it wasn’t Cube, Ren, or DOC. Unrefined, they made Easy a rapper. Easy didn’t write, produce, or rap. Easy was the executive producer.
I always thought Shatosha was from Cleveland. “Cleveland is definitely being in a house” 🎶
Yomo & Maulkie song “for the love money” first in 91, who was also on ruthless records also…
Damn thats crazy i never knew that in the 1st of the Month video they Afros was supposed to be on fire instead of the logos that would've been dope asf...🤘🏾
It's probably better they didn't go through with that idea. 😅
@bezoticallyyours83 yeah I agree I like the logos on fire but thought of tha afros being on fire is dope tho..
