Dad's right, this isn't a comedy. It has comedic elements in it, but Vaas is a horrifying psychopath who treats people like literal toys. It's all meant to garner a reaction from the viewer and show _why_ this guy is the villain of the story. His quips are memorable and have comedic timing, but the situation in which they are framed paints a general unease - the very thing that makes him memorable.
Honestly, Vaas could have been the antagonist of a horror film with the shit he pulls
