The Little Mermaid - 1975 Anime - Movie Trailer from Blu-ray

The 1975 Toei classic based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale gets a fantastic restoration.
The story of Marina skews closer to the original story in this adaption, with a nice mix of fun & drama.
The remaster on this one is pretty top notch and looks great.
Subtitles are just as good, plus the vintage English dub has been synced to the new video master.

Watched the shit out of an old vhs copy i had as a kid. The restoration work on this is incredible! Hope the english dub is included (for nostalgia purposes, of course).

​@@user-ny5vp9be8v This movie makes Disney's The Little Mermaid seem like a huge rip off. Some of the shot set ups are conceptually incredibly similar. I already knew Disney ripped off Kimba the White Lion to make The Lion King... And they stole a lot from The Thief and the Cobbler to make Aladdin... How many successful "original" Disney concepts were just rip offs of existing material that gave no credit to these sources?

I loved the old school animation of this anime it's handrawn but it's ending is so tragic.the main protagonist died and turned into bubbles.very different from the 1989 version of wealth Disney the little mermaid.

It might be harder to find or the licensing holder want alot of money. There also the orginal masters are lost or damaged.
It more complicated with older niche titles.
