Wow! Just amazing! The buildings, the colors of the leaves, the wooded areas through, the story of our Lord 🎄💗 That alone means so much in these times and deserves our support. This place will 100% be added to our bucket list now. Ty for sharing!!

Really enjoyed the video! My wife and I will be going to Dollywood for the first time later this month.
Dollywood was originally Silver Dollar City in Tennessee before Dolly bought it. That’s why there are so many similarities. Love your videos!!!!
Thanks for sharing
Lots of fun. Would love to go to Branson some time. Never been there. Can’t wait to see the lights
I came over from TPF! So glad I did, and so glad you guys had a good time. Subbed :)
Yah go to Galveston Texas Moody Gardens Iceland they have some cool lights and everything is made of ice. They even have an ice slide. It’s a lot of fun to do. I enjoyed going to it.
Well look into that
Proud to say that the voice of the conductor on the train ride is my son. You've made him famous! :)
😊
Thanks for taking me back to 1970, the year my parents took me there. In the big picture it has not changed that much since then. As I know you all do know, it reminds you off "Dollywood" because "Dollywood" was "Silver Dollar City" from 1977-1986. I went to "Dollywood" when it was still "Rebel Railroad". Yes I am really old. Oh, if you ever get lost in western Kentucky near Paducah be sure to check out our wacky tourist attraction full of punny folk art, toys and history. You-all did get near us at Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston
I was just there on the 12th of November, my first time ever and I loved it, so beautiful. A tad cold for this Florida girl, but still beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️
I went to silver dollar city a few years ago it was a pretty good time
Thanks for sharing

Haven't been to Silver Dollar city yet. Now, I wanna go! lol
In 1976 the owners of Silver Dollar City Purchased Grand junction which was located in pigeon Forge Tennessee. They partnered with Dolly Parton and renamed it Dollywood.
Thanks for sharing
Grandpa's story brought tears to my eyes. 👴This place reminds me of Dollywood a lot.❤😊
Dollywood was Silver Dollar city before it was Dollywood
@@pamdixon3052 was Dollywood in Pigeon Forge ever called Silver Dollar City?
@@KentuckyGirl yes it was Silver Dollar city I went there in the 80s
@@pamdixon3052 I hope you don't think I'm pestering you.🌻 Do you know the backstory of this? 🤔Did Dolly Parton buy a franchise of Silver Dollar City how did it come to be Dollywood?
@@KentuckyGirl not at all! I believe she only bought the one in pigeon forge...
Thank you so much for showing us this it was beautiful we receive the greatest gift of all our Lord Jesus Christ
😊
Hi, Yankeeinthesouth: I'm glad you went to Silver Dollar City, I have an uncle who lives in Missouri, who is a retired artist who designed signs for Silver Dollar City.
Thanks for sharing
We visited Silver Dollar city quite a bit when we lived in the St. Louis in the early 80's. Our daughters loved the park. They both would go on the Marvel Cave tour when we would first get to the park. They knew the tour by heart and became " honorary junior tour guides". One of our family's favorite rides was Fire In The Hole. Thank you for filming it so well Will. I loved Grandpa telling the Christmas story. I really appreciate it that it is part of the train ride. Would be nice for them to do that as a part of Dollywood's Christmas season train ride. Looking forward to the second part.
Thanks for sharing your memories
You two are positive and a breath of fresh air. Fun times you include us too! God Bless, keep it up
Glad to see you made it to the Ozarks and Silver Dollar City! It's fairly close to me and love going down to Branson and enjoying the area. New Sub. Thanks for the video! And Fire in the Hole is my favorite. It's one of the few rides that I remember riding on as a kid 35 years ago!
Welcome thanks 😊
I loved the story of grandpa
I loved the Christmas story. I would love it if Dollywood would do something like that up on top of the mountain where the train goes. It needs something up there. Hey just wondering if the grandpa was a real person?
I was in town last week. Wanted to see this, but couldn't get over the price of admission. Not bad until you add up the family
Hey will and Dawn the next time you guys go near Branson.... Springfield Missouri has the main Bass pro shops.... and when you get Hungry a place called Chicago cheesesteak company
Never been to Silver Dollar City
Warms my heart Grandpa telling the best story of all, Our Lord and Saviorl
Thanks for sharing with us
Reminded me of going to Silver Dollar City when I was child but now it’s Dollywood
I love grandpa's story
Great video. Loved Grandpa's story .
😊
Dollywood was originally a Silver Dollar City. I still have a sheriff badge from the old timer that handed them out to kids as you entered under the train Trestle
Thanks for sharing
Someone may have already mentioned it, but Dollywood was previously Silver Dollar City.😊
Dollywood ue to be Silver Dollar City. Maybe before your time
Thanks for sharing

Place. Thank you. It was a special surprise for my husband and I.
Thanks for sharing love grandpa
Great video! Loved Grandpa's story.
My favorite part was Grandpa telling the birth story of Jesus. That’s the real meaning of Christmas. I have definitely enjoyed watching each and every one of y’all’s road trip adventures. Thank you both for the hard work and dedication you guys bring to the YITS channel. Keep up the good work👍🏼 Love you guys🥰😘❤️
What a beautiful place..
Grandpa, shared the greatest gift of all, The Gift Of His Everlasting Love, Our Lord And Savior, Jesus Christ....Amen....
We agree from Santiago de Chile Sudamerica
It's what Christmas is really about.
Agreed! Made me tear up, in a happy way. 🙏🏻✝️🥰
Oh my word this looks like an awesome place to visit. My favorite so far is Grandpa's story. That really touched my heart. Great video looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventures at Silver Dollar City.
A bit of history, Marble cave was bought by Harold Lynch sight unseen and moved to the Ozarks where his daughters started giving tours, Harold Bell Wright visited it and shortly after wrote Shepherd of the Hills
Thanks for the video guys 😊. This is such a great atmosphere and beautiful park. Wish we had more and more of these places and values in today’s world. Well done Will and Dawn❤️
Did y'all know that back in the 70's Dollywood was silver dollar city
Yes
I enjoyed the video very much more than your others. That's what is missing in Dollywood Grandpa and his Christmas Story. 🙂😊💖💖🎄🎁
Loved the whole video. Grandpa’s story was my favorite. Safe travels to everyone.
This park is packed full of excitement for the entire family just like Dollywood. I look forward to part 2 &3.
You can tell this and dollywood are sisters

Silver Dollar City is a lot of fun. I really loved Grandpa's story.
Dollywood used to be silver dollar city back in the 70’s.
Thanks for sharing
I love this. I'm an armchair traveler and your vlogs make me happy !! 😁😁😁
Great video that looks like a lot of fun
Really enjoyed this video! Thank you.
I love Silver Dollar City and Branson and the Ozarks. Thanks for sharing.
Dollywood and Silver Dollar City used to be cousins.
The Beverly Hillbillies filmed some episodes at Silver Dollar City.
Thanks for showing us places we probably couldn't normally get to for one reason or another. God bless you both.
The video is great. There is so much to see in Silver Dollar City. Fire In The Hole was awesome. So were the rest of the rides. The one that was the best was Grandpa’s. His was so wonderful. He told the story of Christ’s birth so solemnly, it was beautiful. Can’t wait until part 2 comes out. 🙂😉🎄🎄🎄
Beautiful time in the Ozarks!
We took a family trip there in 2017 before my two adult kids got married and moved Awesome place Branson is a special town ❤️
Thanks for sharing
What a wonderful place to vacation at. Have fun stay safe and thanks for the great videos
Dolly bought the Silver Dollar City in Pigeon Forge and changed it’s name to Dollywood quite a few years ago. She’s made several updates, but the core feel of the park is similar. We used to have reciprocal benefits to Dollywood with our SDC annual pass. SDC is a very special place.
So grateful they keep the Christian theming regardless of today’s culture.
Check out The Homestead Pickers, if you haven’t already. 💗 Have a fabulous time!
Looks like a cool place, very similar to Dollywood 😊👍🏼thanks for taking us along
It's quite rare anymore that you hear the truth of what Christmas is really all about in a commercial setting. It's just not "politically correct". Thank the Lord for those who buck the system. I've never been to Silver Dollar City, but I will be going!
😊
I thought the same thing - in these days & times- a business that isn’t afraid to speak the True meaning of Christmas “the birth of our Lord & Savior - Jesus Christ “
You will find various Nativity scenes throughout the park and the gigantic Christmas tree when you enter is spectacular.
Very pretty Church
Loved it! Haven't been there in years even though it is closer to us than Dollywood. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to part 2.
Dollywood was once Silver Dollar City..so you'll see tons of similar rides. Lots of fun.😁❤
Dollywood is owned by the Herschel family the same ones who owns Silver Dollar City the herschel's and Dolly went in together for that Park
@@paulwillis9380 yep. I remember that.
I'm going in December. I can't wait. Never been for Christmas. Love the videos. God Bless always
I'm glad y'all got to go out and enjoy yourselves! Hope you have a wonderful vacation. I have never been to Missouri. I actually never thought about it until your videos, maybe that can be one of our adventures!
I went to Dollywood when it was Silver Dollar City, but I was so young I barely remember.
Nice video look like fun l never been there
I love the train ride
Awsomesauce Holiday season is here great POV sledgehammered that like button stay safe awesome and blessed
Thanks for a look at SDC at Christmas in the day light hours.
Love your videos, stay safe, healthy and have fun!
God bless grandpa and the greatest story ever told!🎄🙏 On the Stone Mountain Park train, they pause for a similar telling of the story called "The Gift". It's my favorite part of the ride! When we were at the church at Dollywood one Sunday for service, the Silver Dollar City pastor did the service. The Dollywood pastor was in Silver Dollar City, in an exchange program. Thanks for showing the church. The writing at the front if the church is the first part of Psalm 121, one of my favorite psalms! Have a wonderful trip and thanks again for taking us along!😊🎄❤️
Looks like a fun park. We missed it when we were in Branson unfortunately.
So much fun! I haven’t been to SDC in a long time. Loved the real meaning of Christmas being shared! Thanks for taking us along! Blessings from Diane in Oklahoma!❤️
Loved Grandpa story it was beautiful
Look's like a lot of fun. Also looks a little more "wooded" than the videos from Dollywood to me. Great video folks.
Branson is not near a major city or interstate, so your flight was either expensive, or your drive very long, only for the gift shops and to only ride a family coaster that's almost identical to Dollywood's Blazing Fury, the Flooded Mine ride, and a train that is similar to Dollywood's, though not as good, and requires a full 5 minute wait to endure Grandpa's speech? I would have at least waited until the cave was open.
Really great video Will and Dawn. Love how everything is themed there. The grandpa story was done really well and so important to hear and remember. Thanks for sharing your trip.
We agree from Santiago de Chile Sudamerica
FIRE IN THE HOLE is MY FAVORITE RIDE, BEEN riding it since I was a little girl. GONNA RIDE UNTIL I AM 90 lol
