Neat wood carvings! I like the fire part too! My husband lived in Hawaii for 6 months when he was younger, he's always wanted to go back and take me :)
We So Hope we're blessed with a Hawaii trip in the near future!!! We've heard so many Wonderful things, especially about the shows!!! I know it was probably frustrating sitting at the end with the show upfront. Even I was like squinting to see...lolol (just kidding) But I still enjoyed it!🤗 Thanks for the info on the Luau as like you said, it's always great to know the culture!!!👍 And don't worry, buddy...I'm sure the Mrs. didn't even Notice the Big Stong, Hulky Dudes!!!💪.....😂 Thanks again and we hope All is Well!!! 😁🤙👊

I always do enjoying going to a Luau while in Hawaii. The fire throwers are always my favorite also. Nice you didn’t have to go far to see one. The rain seems to be following you guys.
We had a good time! The fire thrower in the middle has won many awards for his fire dancing! The rest of our trip was dry, but we did have our share of rain! Thanks Carl!
Catching up on videos we got behind on while we were traveling the last couple of weeks... Reading through the comments, it seems nobody has any comments about how luaus have been modified from their origins. LOL. I guess I don't really either. I can see how some Hawaiians could be offended. I can also see how if performed by Hawaiians with love and respect for their own culture and a desire to share it with others, it could be a very positive thing even though it ain't what it used to be. Anyway, looks like a lovely experience with some incredible dancing, even from five tables away. Thanks for showing us what this experience is like!

I think Crystal has been to a Luau on Maui, her friend worked at one of the hotels there and they did face painting. I might have that story a bit confused, but I haven't been to a Luau since I was a teen. My dad's work paid for a private show. I usually think of them as tourist traps and generally stay away from things like that. We also try to travel a bit more consciously. We try to fly a bit more under the radar when traveling. The Haka is one of my favorites to watch.
This could be considered a tourist trap. We enjoyed the dances and food, but understand not going to luaus and really had a hard time deciding if we should go. Thanks for watching!
That looked like fun but I agree a closer seat would have been better. I wonder if you can feel the heat from the fire dancers if you are closer? lol I have never been to a Luau but would like to one day.
Hi Flack Fam. Love the Wood Carvings. Roughly how much for wood carvings. I probably will go to the Luau once, just to say I went. I would have my camera out to take pictures before and after the show. That way I could enjoy the food and show. Have a Fun Week and hope the Fam can enjoy the Weather.
We didn’t find out how much the wood carvings were, I was tempted to ask because they were so cool, but then I decided I would have a hard time getting it home. It was a great show with great food, but I agree once is probably good! Thanks Ed!

For $40 more per person do you think it's worth paying for the closer seating?
Yes, I wish we would have been closer, also get there probably 2 hours prior to the start time that will get you closer too! Have fun!
