Brilliant analysis, Arith *You apply Carl Jung's concepts of the animus and anima in your analysis which deepens our knowledge on how symbols apply to the human psyche. Your knowledge of the runes is very deep and inspiring. Thank you.

Just want to add a another possibility on why Sliepnir is represented with 8 legs. I work with and train Icelandic horses, the original horses of the Vikings. They have two additional gaits(movements) that are very fast, they are called skied (pace) and Tolt (fast 4 beat running walk) .... When watching the horses display these gaits they can appear to have 8 legs

How are they the original Viking horses....

    • @ForrestAnna
      @ForrestAnna 2 роки тому +1

True, also appaloosas have this special gait, and is often used to determine if, without the spotted coloring, if a horse shows this gait, they are considered appaloosas. Of course this is not symbolic or as a part of mythology, which is stories giving answers to the universal questions, why?

I am always amazed by your videos especially the runes because the information and the insight you share is always perfect timing. The messages you deliver are always so accurate with what is happening at the moment in the world, and what truly amazes me is the fact that you record these videos 2-3 months before they come out and it is as if you already knew what was going to happen! Your first video of 2020 was a continuous message of hope and I didn't pay much attention but now it makes so much sense since we have been hit by covid-19, and you recorded that video even before covid was a thing in China. From that video on I've paid more attention to your messages because after that things happen in the world and it all makes sense and you give to us not just knowledge but warnings to protect ourselves before things happen! It's scary and amazing at the same time.

Interesting thing about Sleipnir being the means of passege from one realm to the next is that after the death of Baldr Hermod rides Sleipnir to ransom Baldr from Hel so he passes from the world to the underworld using the horse. In symbolic terms an eight legged horse could be four pall bearers carrying a coffin, or corpse, so in a way Hermod had to die to go and visit Hel. A Shaman in a trance is said to be dead to this world whilst in the trance.
In Britain we do not use horse meat as human food believed to be a taboo that goes back thousands of years, but we do use it as animal food.We are a fickle people. A few years ago there was a scandal when one of the top chain stores of UK was found tobe using horse meat mixed into foods like burgers and such, the public outcry was huge and I suspect that they thought that they would get away with it because of the prescence of many Europeans that were complacent towards it. It didn't work out and they lost a lot of sales through it.

I found this very helpful. I did my very first rune reading having read and listened and contemplated the runes for over a year (I was cautious not to rush in). Ehwaz was the rune. I interpreted it as 'movement' meaning the start of my journey with the runes, as well as 'trust' meaning the trust I have both in myself and the runes.

Very nice, I actually wrote a poem about Ehwaz in which I focused on symbiosis, and the importance of a self aware strong individual in partnership and community.
I am really fascinated by symbiotic relationships in nature and find it odd and unrealistic to exclude humans from that dynamic. We are said to 'domesticate'. The relationship between humans and horses, or dogs, cows/goats and sheep is mutually beneficial to both. To be sure, the relationship can become abusive. Even in 'nature' (as if we are not part of nature) symbiosis can slide on a spectrum and become more parasitic. But for example, plants and mycelium. This symbiosis is mostly beneficial, but it's complicated.
I highly recommend Merlin Sheldrake's book Entangled Life which I recently read and learned some results and more questions resulting from newer studies into the plant/fungi intertwining and that cooperation creating the world we live in.

This myth demonstrates animal communication between the two legged animal and the four legged. So ancient shamans did communicate and have an understanding of the Spirit Language of animals. This is in a myth, as you say, but historically, in the world of 'the ordinary' there were ancient shamans who DID know the language of animals and could understand if their animal was ill, if the animal knew something the shaman needed to know (enemies coming from afar?) etc. This fascinates me and on your Patreon You Tube episode, I wrote about featuring you in a pre recorded interview about animal communication throughout history and how it laid the foundation for today's animal communicators Do contact me by Facebook, of the same name as I have listed here.

    Great video!
I've always wanted to know how to read and what kind of interpretation you can make with Scandinavian runes.
They passed from 24 runes (8+8+8) in the old futhark, to 16 runes (6+5+5), which means that some runes are missing (2 in the first aeth, 4 in the second, 4 in the third) + they added 2 runes (1 in the second aeth, 'a', and one in the third aeth, 'R' )
Is it possible to do the same "reading" with these runes than with the old futhark, like in your video?
Thanks a lot in advance if you see my message and if you take the time to reply :) Keep up the good work.
Respect from a frenchman living in Finland

I enjoy your videos. It helps me on my way of getting to know the runes.
Your knowledge is impressive, and what I like the most, your conclusions are logic, and based on history ans studies.
Anyway... On some point I began to wonder how old are you and where are you from. I don't know what for, that's just me, I like to know things like that 😅
So I went googling your name and I came across really horrible things people were saying about you. You've probably seen it as it was from 2 years ago.
I'm actually very much surprised on what they're saying, because i can sense your energy as really good and delicate. Along with your tolerance and pretty impressive mindset. I personally find you very interesting, intelligent, funny and good person, so well... How did this happen? I mean those comments... I'm confused

What would happen, then you put Mannaz and Ehwaz together in one bindrune? I mean, it would create an inverted Odal between two poles, so I'm curious, would it be like with chokolate, then you do it too well, it gets this soapy taste. or with metals, then you do the Galvanic element, what eats itself, to make sure, people wont abuse the rare metals. I normally see Ehwaz as Female and Mannaz as Male, and this bindrune, is meant for a wedding ring, to show true love. Would it work in such a way? OwO Asking for a friend.

Not sure if you mean Incarnation, or Reincarnation, but with regards to the latter I have heard this association with Eihwaz because it is the Yew tree. The Yew keeps being reborn from the dead tree that came before it. This is a modern interpretation based on lore and behaviour in nature.
