- Vulcan XL426 makes a real long beauty of a howl on the static blast. The brakes did well holding back all that thrust.
It then performed a high speed taxi run making another nice resonating howl down the Southend airport runway, before deploying the chute and rolling past my position. Lovely seeing this bird up close and must say it's in fine fettle. - Авто та транспорт

The problem is that BAE has no one who can work on the Vulcans flying controls that's why 558 can not fly anymore. It's all fly by wire and computers.
The sound of a class 50 going up the Lickey Incline is music to my ears!
Great to see this magnificent beast in action again. Loved watching this with my dad at RAF Valley in the late 70s and early 80s. On reflection it’s probably the cause of the six to seven different tones of tinnitus I’ve had all my life. Worth it.

I have an old tyre from 426 when the brakes locked and it scrubbed a hole in one side. I’ve had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit and move the control surfaces.
Just like music the engine sounds are amazing !

XH558 at doncaster airport is going to be scrapped soon which is very sad indeed.
Don't see why they don't just ferry flight it to Duxford or somewhere to museum it up in a hangar
Thankfully not the case any more, the council signed a 125 year lease on the airport, so XH558 is safe
@@bobsurgranny they did request a short ferry flight for xh558 but because the caa is exlusively run by wankers it was turned down.

We need to stop giving aid to countries that waste it and put our money towards this aircraft so she can stay in flying condition.

10000 is better used for the Vulcan to exercise than to give it as aid to some country that would stab you in the back if they had a mean’s to. So stop your crying.

They've got no flying hours dude, taxi runs/maintainence tests only. (Hopefully not a permanent decision, one can only hope she flies again.)

Really don't see your point. There's plenty of ways the gov wrongfully squander our money but this is totally different.. this is folks paying to be entertained by heritage. 10 grand is not a lot of money really especially spread over a few hundred folks
