No I think it was a statue of clank Nefarious decided to junk since at this point of the game, he now hates Clank for his act of destroying the first biobliterator, as Nefarious was once a fan of Clank as Secret Agent Clank.
For me, EVERY phase of Nefarious was hard in this game. He's just a bit too spastic, though I have beaten him without taking damage before. (although the Bioblitorator can go to hell!)
I don't recall the HD collection having the option to put the shadows on the lowest quality. Besides, compare the shadows from this video to an actual Ratchet and Clank UYA HD collection video. Of course the HD trilogy has little to no frame drops, but never this drastic.
