This is an era of video games I truly miss. Games were more colorfull, imaginary, creative, inspired and original. Today, every game feels and looks the same. A generic first person shooter, a fantasy RPG or if we're lucky, maybe a good remake of a classic game. And they all seem to have a focus on looking as realistic as possible. I miss games like this. They don't make them like this anymore.

There has been a lot of amazing comeback from 2000-2010 video games series ever since 2020s like
Half-Life Alyx, The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe, and later in 2023, there's going to be Dead Space Remake, 4 new Silent Hill games especially a remake of Silent Hill 2, System Shock Remake, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope (which is a return for Rayman)

Ironically, Naughty Dog started the trend of looking real as possible with Uncharted 4 unless I’m mistaken

i remember as a kid, i was very frustrated with these bosses. What was worse though was that i was completely terrified of that plant.

I was too. Also, when I was swimming, I was always scared to get eaten by the big fish. XD
the mini tank boss in jak 2 was impossible when I was a kid. I could beat it now, though I dont have a playstation

@@joelhess1436 Really? Took them long enough. Whether they continue from Into the Nexus, or remake Going Commando, i'm COMPLETELY on board either way. Ratchet and Clank is one of my all time favorite gaming franchises, and I have an itch that badly needs a scratching.
Sadly we live in times that 3D platform games are dead on consoles, unless maybe Nintendo i miss the old times with. Amazing adventures like Jak And Daxter or Ratchet

Sad thing is failed defeating Metal Head Kor at least 15 times and when I finally did beat it I had barely any health left, and this dude just did it without taking any damage.

Daniel Montano-Lobe the hit still counts. They just didn’t expect someone to get that last hit in as the cycle resets almost instantly upon reaching the next phase. It’s fairly common in Speedruns :)

okay so the jack and daxter games are a big time paradox
The platforming before the plant boss killed me more than the boss itself since the checkpoint is behind the final platforming. I remember raging and just repeatedly jumping off on purpose.
I always manage to forget that J&D 1 only has 3 bosses
Well there are ambushes that play the boss music, I think theirs like 3 of em, the misty island one, boggy swamp and the snowy mountain.
Honestly this is really frustrating to watch because I remember being a kid and spending entire weekends on some of the bosses in Jak 2 and 3 meanwhile you’re over here making it look so easy

I enjoyed Jak 3 the most. Awesome levels, gameplay, and most importantly, an overall manageable difficulty compared to the first 2 games (ESPECIALLY JAK 2). Jak 1 got frustrating halfway to the end, more or less.

@@Youcifer I dont know about the first jak and daxter being that easy man, it got pretty frustrating in world 3, especially in the spider caves. God I hated that area. Although I do agree that it's the easiest of the 3 games
took months to get that last powercell all you had to do was exit spider cave with yellow eco and shoot that one box
One thing I never noticed until
Now, Daxter wasn’t the typical sidekick in the first game. Usually, his character type would be a coward for a majority of the game until his big bravery moment. But instead, he is brave throughout the entire game. He may not be as brave as Jak is, but he’s never ran from a fight. His only moment of true cowardice is at the beginning of Jak 2 where he leaves Jak to be arrested by Erol and the Krimson guards.
Which was good so he could save jak

I'm pretty sure this is just coincidence, but the machine the Baron uses in the temple of Mar and the land stalker from Ratchet Deadlocked look similar in design.

Jack & Daxter was okay, but Jak 2 was hard as hell! Never played a game so hard like that! Probably the hardest game in my life!
And since Jak 2 traumatized me, I'm afraid of playing Jak 3 because it could be as hard as it's predecessor.
I can confirm that jak 4 isn't as hard as part 2 though:)

I never truly appreciated how amazing Jak 3’s final boss is. Such a shame that you cut the first half, though.
Man.. watching this really brings on some nostalgic feels :3 I really miss the Jak and Daxter series ;-; All those fun and frustrating memories (more frustrating towards Jak 2 cx) , who knew a series could bring on such an amazing feeling especially from a game c: If they ever do bring up Jak 4 that would be my most anticipated game ever! So long as it is made by the same people and not totally off track the game would become a best seller in no time :3

All these games took forever to beat when I was younger... I repeat them all in a few weeks a year ago :) satisfying to revisit the game I got a ps3 for the remastered version.. Favorite game of all time
Makes it seem so easy meanwhile I spent hours playing these games as a kid. Honestly though, Jak 2 was my favorite. It was so well thought out and I can imagine Haven City in todays HD graphics would look gorgeous

No it's a bootstrap paradox because of the fixed point in time caused by their first travel and their as of yet 3rd travel. To complete the grandfather paradox introduced in 3 by word of the precursors stating in the end at the bar that Jack was the Mar as in their champion and founder of Haven City also making Jack his own ancestor.

+Playstation Guides It is really a shame that this genre and series has all gone to waste. In short, no i do not. This is because no-one remembers Jak and the 3D platformer anymore i guess. Jak 3 was the first game i played at the age of 3, and i have been playing since. I really hope they make another that is true to the series and not a crappy realistic looking game that is put out to make money.

They started with an evil carnivorous plant that possibly was taking too many resources to survive, yet still seeming cartoonish, and ended up erradicating a whole alien species that destroyed planets, and seemed like lovecraftian horror gods..
