I get a vibe from this song that writes a movie in my head. A person who grew up with really high expectations of their life, but now as an adult, they're living alone and not taking care of themselves in the best ways. One day they get an email for a high school reunion and they go on a whim and they meet an old HS best friend that they fell out of touch with. They start talking again more and more, and the person's life slowly becomes better and better with help from this friend few the couple weeks they're there. And the semi-happy/sad end is the friend getting ready to board a plane to go home and the person seeing them off and letting them go, and after a few days they get an email from the friend and they stay connected.
