- Bruce and Conrad come together for this UA-cam EXCLUSIVE episode of Something To Wrestle! Bruce and Conrad revisit a subject they discussed two years ago on the main RRS feed (available now wherever you find your podcasts) but this time we turned on the cameras and let Bruce go!
I never got Bret's gripe about the training montages either. We, as fans, could clearly see that Bret was running on ice and in 10 degree weather. To me, his workout looked 100x tougher than Shawn's.
I remember them working out but I dont remember who was doing what. I was too young but maybe I'll look at it again. I will say I was a bret fan though overall
Insecure innit
Just something else for Bret Hart to whine about the biggest bitch in wrestling history
You had Bret jogging in ice, being stretched by an old man, swimming in his pool.
Shawn was sprinting stadium stairs, arm dragging luchadors, doing vertical pushups.
Brets gripes are legit. Both are classy cats. I've met them both, and both are classy dudes. I told them both my favorite matches were them working each other, hart vs hbk. I'm glad they made peace. Sadly, the wrestling fan got robbed of what could've been
@@JoeNOhio Imagine what could have been. A reformed HBK vs. Bret as their last match
Would love to see old episodes to get video updates.
Great start to the podcast. I’m already hooked.
The HBK/Bret combo could have and probably would have been the best series of matches possibly in history, if they'd just not gotten into the bs and personal crap. I think HBK is the greatest ever, bell-to-bell, and Bret was such an awesome technician. It would have been nice to see them trade the belt a little bit in some classic matches.
Well, HBK should have dropped the belt @ 13
The B side of that cassette tape contained Badstreet 2. "The even further down the block you went the even badder it got!"
If you run out of content I wouldn’t mind them redoing some of the early episodes that were shorter, we just want new material! Thanks B & C 👍🏻
The Lex Luger episode needs a complete redo.
Dusty Rhodes and Bob Backlund
They are not going to run out of content. WWE puts out 5 or more shows per every new episode of STW. Bruce’s schedule since being rehired has prevented a lot of episodes from being made. He needs to get fired again, this show will get better again like the early episodes were.
Loved the Billionaire Ted skits personally.
by the way didnt you guys already do this episode 2 years ago? is this a rerun?
WrestleMania 12 was episode 264 over 2 years ago.
I think it’s recent cause they bring up CM Punk and the bet he made with Eric Bischoff.
They also have a way bigger audience and better audio quality than they had 2 years ago also now video.
@@troylechampion8082 they also talk about the Succession final season
This was a really good show. Cant wait for the next one!
The in your house before this - Vader vs Yokozuna was announced for this Wrestlemania, never heard an explanation why that didn’t happen
Yoko had become too heavy and slow to pull off a singles match. They were also worried about him potentially having a heart attack in the middle of the ring if he over exerted himself.
I think the Bret vs. Shawn match should have been best 2 out of 3.
Also, I really liked the Warrior's look in the match and Im bored of the Warrior bashing. Its old.
16:50 Laughed so hard, I spat my coffee out. Sick burn, sick receipt, out of nowhere. DAMN!
Gonna be hard to ask Scott Hall why he didn’t want to work Golddust
I don't understand Conrad's iron man logic. You know when a main event match can plausibly end, but in the iron man format a fall can happen at any time because it's not the finish. If anything that makes it much more exciting than the normal "It's been 10 minutes, nobody has hit a finisher, and it's still 30 minutes to the hour, so no way are they near done yet."
This was on ad free shows last week Friday

@@danielboom72 so much for "UA-cam exclusive" though
I guess "UA-cam Exclusive" is like "LIVE on PPV!" (recorded two days earlier: SummerSlam92)
The fresh prince of pod casting with that 90s shirt Bruce
Tom Prichard debuted there in 93 and wrestled the dark match before wm10
Ya I thought it was before 95' too
The show would be so much better if they got rid of Conrad.
Bruce’s steroid trial shirt 😆 ❤
Love the new intro
5:55 Starts
53:14 WM12 Begins
Wheres the Ken Shamrock last days in the WWF episode, i thought that was this week?
Its already up..
With as much as Bruce gets paid these days, one would think he wouldn't wear the same shirt he wore in the late 70's/early 80's? 😆
I was hoping for more from this episode. But, I don't watch modern product I listen to this stuff and unless there is drama there may not be entertainment
#264 was Wrestlemania 12. Are y’all running out of ideas? Please no, this show has to continue!!!
A God dam teletubby lol
Wait...this "exclusive" is already in the archives...come on guys!
Its an updated version of it cuz it wasnt on video last time abd i dont rememeber them mentioning CM Punk or AEW on that episode smart ass
I so remember watching this live no bret don't turn around ..I was bummed for months
You wanted the second biggest wrestling star of the 90s to have a proper match with the Greenwich snob who just lost a feud to Henry Godwin? The Warrior hate is hilarious.
I wanna hear some Repo Man stories. 😀🌈🦄
all two of them
Bruce do u wanna talk about AEW hell noooo 😂😂😂😂
Kevin Nash mentioned on the Broken Skull sessions that Taker received divorce papers the day of their match. Obviously idk if that’s true or not, but if it is I’d have to think Taker’s at least partly to blame for that match not being the best they could’ve executed. Must be difficult to work with that going on.
I thought the match was really good tbh. Exceeded expectations
Yeah, I remember that being a great match for those 2.
That's just drunk Nash talking nonsense like usual. Calaway divorced his first wife Jody Lynn in 1999. They were married for 10 years.
@brandonthomas633Rumble 96.
I think Warrior was 36 not 39.
You guys already did wrestleMania 12
Ol conny the mark still cant understand why the iron match was such a masterpiece 🙄
@ 1.09 .00 CONRAD BEGINS FLASH HIS BRILLIANCE WITH PENETRATING PROFUINDITY QUESTIONING. ( APPLAUSE) ;-) PIPER RULES, kneel before piper, nash
I listen to the over the edge podcast the first one I’ve heard in years and thought maybe Bruce was back. I listen to him take a dump all over this for about an hour and turn it off
Bruce! Whats goin on man, ✌👽
Man im so glad you guys dont come on here and attack peoples political views like cornette does. As entertaining as he is i had to unsub from him. You guys stand at the top of the mountain
Bruce took too many edibles before this show.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Sorry, HHH around mania 12 was a scrub compared to Warrior. He might've had "kliq rubs" at the time but was nowhere near the level of "The Game."
Warrior also squashed Honky Tonk after his insane IC title run. Crappy or no, it was cool to see Warrior for one final Mania match.
Yup. The bias from Bruce is hilarious. This is a guy who was level pegging with Hogan as the biggest star of the golden era and booking him in a competitive match with lower midcard Hunter Hurst Helmsley? Like bringing back Hogan for a cold competitive match with Hakushi.
@@paulearl8203 Exactly. HHH was a nobody then. The spin that he should've been given more is just WWE trying to bury Warrior before they buried the heat.
I'm sure Warrior was a pain in Vince ass, but the same guy was one of the few put over clean by Hogan.
No way does HHH at that time, deserve more than what he got. HHH while good, was never "the guy" he was always who "the guy" worked against.
@jn4657 100% HHH was to go from a hog pen match where although he won, big Henry Godiwn got his heat back immediately. To suddenly being in a competitive match with a returning Ultimate Warrior? It was always going to be a squash, it didn't even have a build. It was someone being fed to Warrior and rightly so. Granted if this was say heel Diesel, Vader or Bulldog I'd agree a squash would be a bit much. But Hunter? He was a jabroni who's initial mini push was cooling off.
Although I will say no selling the Pedigree was a bit much ha. He shouldn't have taken it.
Looks like he bought that shirt at the same store Cornette buys his clothes.
Kinda excited about this show. This was the first show I begged my mom to buy me and my brother on ppv. I was 8. I still watch this event frequently lol
Me too . I got to go to a friends house
It was Camp Cornette v Yoko who just turned, Ahmed wasnt forgotten here it was high profile and his push continued, Jake was Jake. This wasn't reallt that ramdom a match at all. Poor amd lazy from Conrad.
jAKE tHE sNAKE rules!!!!!!!!!!!! HOOOWWWL!! THANKS
❤
Is Bruce drunk or high in this episode? Had a hand full of edibles and on he went!!

I clicked on this to hear about Wrestlemania 12 and we're talking about Conrad's hair and can't talk about a bet. Geeeesh. Who cares?!?!
Couldn’t agree more I stopped listening to these guys and fry periodically and The just got waaaay of track constanty
Apparently you did enough to comment on it 🙄🙄
HBK Kevin Nash HHH undertker edge kane Rock
Conrad needs to start getting sponsored by weight watchers goddamn
Bret Hart is probably my all time favourite, and I will never call Shawn anything less then one of the most talented I have seen.
But I think the ironman match is tremendously overrated. They should have had it be a straight up match 'just' going the time limit. It would have kept fans engaged and the finish would not have felt as bogus.
2 out of 3.
@@Plainview-tu7xnnah two outta three would have been no good either, WWF fan base at that time wasn’t brought up on hour long matches or two outta three falls matches. Hart foundation had done two outta three falls tag title matches in 80s but the concept wasn’t used at all in singles in that time period. Pretty sure thats why they told the story they did with ironman, cause fans will think whoever got first fall wins the match. You can’t have Bret lose the match and first fall without looking like he was dominated (which isn’t the story they wanna tell), and you can’t have Shawn lose first fall cause people will say under any other circumstances Brets still champion. They wanted evenly matched and one fall, should have just been a normal match and give em 30 mins bell to bell.
By going OT they gave Bret an out and a claim to rematch, but they could have come up with a finish that could accomplish that anyways.
Personally I liked the match when i watched it live. It be pretty hard to watch back now, but not knowing what happens, and being excited about it as a kid i enjoyed it till Bret lost. My brother was a hbk fan so he was elated and now had bragging rights. for me that was about as emotional as I ever got for any match or finish, its just one of those matches you only really can experience once. people who haven’t seen it still know what happens generally and it spoils it. One if those matches you gotta live it to really experience it the way its meant.
Bruce is so lame and when hes funny, oh boy.
Omg Conrad is so annoying
Sonrad is funny
WrestleMania 12 was horrible
I thought it sucked
