This isn't the procedure for my 2008 Sportman 500...I have to remove the fuel tank to really get to it, I can see the boot but don't think I can even remove it, there just isn't room
Why not show a video of a spark plug service on the Ranger 500 side by side??? We have the '21 model and I cant even find the spark plug much less change it. I read on a forum that it's very difficult to do a spark plug change on that model and I'll probably have to bring it in.
There must be two or more versions of the sportsman 500 HO. The video shows easily accessible plug pointing/ angled to the rear. My 2006 500 HO EFI is NOT easily accessible and is pointing / angled toward the front, and seems to be further forward than the model in this video. I agree with @mike 8732. there is no easy way to access the plug without removing the fuel tank
