Branden is seriously THE most underrated drummer out there. geez. transcribing what he's playing is as hard as playing it because he makes a 4 piece with 5 cymbals sound like a kit with twice as much.
man branden has always been pretty much my fav drummer. just amazing....but this new stuff .....holy fuck !!! better than ever!!....the drums sound unreal and his skill just dont stop increasing ....dammit ....ima have to drink his blood !

Ok well I might know more about music because I've been playing music for almost 13 years. I think I would know that theory and practice are different. Theory is the study of reading music, understanding scales, modes, triads, chords, time signatures and key signatures. The practice of music is actual playing music.
Genres don't have anything to do with footwear while playing. I've seen jazz drummers play barefoot at high-paying gigs, and metal guys play in army boots. It's not the music you play that defines your playing footwear, but what makes you feel comfortable. I play with and without and don't find any difficulty in playing exactly the same.
But I've learned that in practicing music, you learn theory, and learning theory makes you better at practicing. And when did I say they are the same thing?
but branden stands out because hes able to combine a ton of different elements and have it sound INSANE. he's not an all out metal drummer like most of those drummers you listed. his jazz influences stand out highly. maybe even more than his metal influences.
playing in an odd key signatures isn't shit. if you have knowledge of basic 5th grade math, and can apply it to that, than a key signature wont make anything harder. and switching them is alot easier if you wrote the song. sorry dude its not as hard as you think. and what does it matter how big your kit is? you use what you need.
I'm not going to chill out if someone tells me my facts are wrong. I usually wont say something unless i know I'm right, and if you want to get into grammar, try to not to capitalize "It's". There is no reason for it because you never ended the sentence.
whose the one that thinks he knows what hes talking about? and saying that AAL is a btbam wannabe band is pretty accurate. they just dont have vocals. kinda like scale the summit.
