I've been watching your tutorials since I started learning TD. Your explanation is very straightforward to follow. Super helpful! After watching this one, I will start my first little show soon. Thank you sooooo much. -- Sue (Oneironaut)
Your tutorials are amazing, taught me so much. Haven't even subscribed to your Patreon yet, until now. Love you dude
This is one of those fundamental things that is easy to overlook as you are first approaching this software. Especially because a lot of useful tools such as Katanmapper take advantage of these workflows in a way that cannot easily be understood at a glance. Thanks for taking the time to break this down for us.
I was so worried that your desktop background was just trash. Tyvm for clarifying. Also thanks for all of the work you do with tutorials
Ahh thank you so much my friend. Been looking for a tutorial like this.
Thank you. Another tutorial. And again I am a lot wiser!
I was running two separate windows for a while and realized how much of a performance hit it was. It’s a bit annoying to do the 1 window solution but the performance benefits are immense!!
Thanks for mentioning to "turn off the borders" it saved me fr
Thank you very very very much! I needed this explanation
perfect video, thanks m8
It finally clicked. Thanks!
Things to mention is also the window screen configuration. First is your main screen than your projector. And if your projector res is bigger than your ui screen, you ll need to center the ui to your screen.
hi, thanks for the tutorial, great work. Need to add that one container with MULTIPLE SCREENS WITH DIFFERENT RESOLUTIONS also works. Width of parent container should be a sum of them all, and height from the bigger one. Then "Justify vertical" set to "top" and it's perfect
Thank you for sharing this info! I was wondering if it could actually work and then read your comment!
Thanks for your contributions, your good to learn from. This video brings up “how I the heck does one connect the buttons or sliders to the operators down in the containers”? I looked at M Ragan’s “Live Set Up” but it get somewhat convoluted. Can you explain it, have you covered it already?
every time im stuck on something you release a video on it lmao
Thank you. 감사합니다.
Hi! Thank you for this great tutorial. Why to use "bg" instead of just Out node?
hello! Can you talk about using it in this way to be VG? I want to know about the possibilities of the buttons and how to play with visuals in real time. Thank you for your videos, they are very useful and I have usually laughed at your mini jokes!! haha hugs from Argentina
I'm using additional software (madmapper). All the things like projection, midi controls are done in Madmapper and i send my touchdesigner content via NDI/Spout to my madmapper screen.
What if in the task manager you set priority to Real-time for the separate window? Would it not stutter even if it was not focused?
thank you! any reasons why escape doesn't close perform mode window on mac?
Would you be able to do a tutorial inspired by Refik Anadol ? :)))
Thanks for the video! Is it possible that things in perform mode performs worse than network view? When I enter perform mode the response I get is not 1:1 from my MIDI controllers. The stutter effect I created is somehow going to bigger rates I haven't set up at all. The only difference is perform mode on/off. When setting a floating window with the network view in the background it works perfectly fine. Have you experienced something like that before?
Hm that's odd! Usually things run better in perform mode since TD doesn't have to process the node previews anymore, especially floating windows usually slow down the project as TD has to render both. Does it make a difference what resolution you're using? What kind of project are you running?
What would be the best option for people who have free license ? Because the resolution is limited
The size of the comps is actually not limited, but if you change your container to e.g. 1920x1080 the content will be stretched. There's no way around the resolution limitation afaik
i was trying to get two proyections of the same project on 2 different proyectors, its that posible? you know to make the effect of 3d depth? also my laptop have just one hdmi port, you think its better to consider to have 2 laptops whit the same project and try to attach the projectors on real time? or there is a simple way to do that?you know like projecting different faces of a cube for example
if you want to dubble the same image, use a hmdi splitter as a device to get 2 hdmi outputs to connect 2 projectors to it, as far as I understood it right. Hope You found a solution in time
@@Noah-kf9vw i need two different images of the same proyect
how do you hide UI elements like sliders and buttons in perform mode? I want them to only be visible in non-perform mode
If you go to the Container with the UI in it, at the top of the PANEL Menu is Display which you can turn to OFF.
@@rgrant omg thank you
Can you teach us how to an NFT with touch designer?
