Nice event :) We in germany dont have this large events but in 2012 the amount of new people is amazing so we can do bigger stuff . -3 to all of you paintball is a game of fun and safety so respect other people :)
Went there once came back home with 13 ticks on me. I hope they learned to spray the campsite areas before people arrive. The drive into Missouri to lean over the frozen food coolers at Walmart was the best part of the trip

The OK D-DAY event is a week long, with one to two "mini-scenarios" per day, culminating in the epic 8 hour game on Saturday. Everything you see in this video is just "warm up games". :)
Yea I know what you are saying and I would want to have as much going down range too. Maybe a Cushman MG42 or RAP4 M1919 Browning. My point is that a MilSim scenario is kind of diluted in its intent by having Speedball type game play. One reason I like the growing interest in Mag Fed games only. No endless hopper full of balls just blasting away.

Well, neither me or my friend have any formidable guns to bring so how much should we spend on a gun that can compete. What would be a recommended price range (min-max)? From what I have seen, it looks kind of chaotic in the middle of a battle. How do you find your friends again if you or them were to be shot? How much would you say someone spends resupplying their paintballs, and does refilling your tank cost anything or is that free? What are the scenarios like before the actual D-Day, are they worth showing up earlier in the week? How much does a typical person spend when you are camping out, how much is the food, concessions stands, etc.. And this is just a question on your opinion. Its a big investment for a new player, does it seem pretty organized and well executed or is it ragtag. I would feel better spending money if I knew I was going to be in good hands.

***** I'll do my best to reply. First, don't really worry about your marker set-up. If your gun works and is reliable. You'll be fine. Have an all stock 98Custom? Good enough. Don't feel forced to buy the latest fastest shooting or milsim gun to play. It seriously doesn't matter. However, gear wise, I recommend you buying at least 3 things if you don't have them. A hydration pack or a vest that can store a hydration bladder, a high pressure air tank (HPA), and a pod pack or vest. Trust me that's worth the investment at least. That's a difficult issues. Really in any large scenario game. Radios can help but it's hard to keep radios private too. Usually you just meet up with everyone in the deadzone. As long as you and everyone else knows what the next objective is, you should at least be in the same area. That really just depends on the play-style of someone. Speedball type person may go through 10 cases of paint. Someone like me can get away with just one for the whole week. Just depends on you. Air is free but CO2 isn't provided anymore. HPA only. Hence, why I say to buy a HPA tank (Better in the long run anyways). Usually just simple two hour mini-games. I'd say they're worth it. Especially the V2 rocket one on Wednesday. :) But the value of coming earlier is usually in the form of hanging out with your unit. Again, that just depends. People go to Wal-Mart and buy food to cook at the camp or some go out and eat off the grounds or eat in the vendors. I honestly don't recall eating at the vendors much in recent years. One of my favorite food vendors is supposed to be coming back and sells awesome sandwiches for around $6 I think. But that's worth it. Other vendors, don't recall but seemed like it was slightly overpriced but not "state-fair" overpriced lol. I don't think it's as well organized as it used to be but it definitely not rag-tag either. The lady at registration booth can help and your unit can help you as well. You'll be fine. Also... SHAMELESS RECRUITING TIME! Considering it' your first time going, why don't you join the 4thID? We are a good unit to join for first-timers in general. A lot of other units tend to act military like but the 4thID doesn't really care. Just hangs out and plays it's best on Saturday. Also we could use the numbers too. lol
If the Americans have the Rangers as the "unit" you have to tey out for do te Germans have their SS or what? And to try out for the "special units" what do you do for the PT?
every time I see this video I yearn to play this scenario I live in California and I play at Hollywood sports paintball park with my team paintball militia.. its small but a decent park to play in..the only park I played in actually I wish I could go all out and play in a game like this..its awesome..and to comment from spencerhopkins91 FUCK YEAH ITS DAMN WORTH IT.. My team has been playing for 2 years.. and its worth playing this sport..all invited to watch my videos.

I like scenario paintball, but isn't this just speedball with different things to hide behind? I mean, just firing off as many balls as you can kind of defeats the purpose to a great extent. Its just like a scenario of a speedball event but in camo outfits!

What ever hopper u have type that it in and then add speed feed. Say u have a halo hopper. U wouldtpe in halo speed feed
