Me (GSTAR321) doing a live commentary and walkthrough of 'Detention' for the PC.
Detention is dare I say, the most unique game I've ever played. Simply put, it's a 2D side-scrolling 'point and click' horror game. And it's fantastic.
Set during 1960's Taiwan under martial law, you play as protagonists Wei and Ray (Predominantly Ray though), who are trapped in their high school during a typhoon alert.
Exploring the school you discover it's haunted, and end up learning of it's dark history.
Amazing atmosphere.
Excellent graphics and art design.
Superb music and sound.
Integrates religious elements based on Taiwanese/Chinese culture and mythology.
An intense and tragic story.
This is a game I will not be forgetting anytime soon ...

Omni Deus outlast would be rather bad considering he does about 2-3 play throughs of a game off camera and when he records a gameplay he is on his 3rd-4th attempt. A game like outlast where the best experience is your 1st-2nd play through would be a good thing

Hey Gstar just wanted to say for some reason your videos have been helping me through a rough patch in life. Thanks for that! I would strongly recommend devotion from the same developers that made this game. It’s an awesome story and creepy as hell much like this one except it is in 3D.
P.S. The devotion game is fairly short so it’s not too much of a time commitment.
After watching your playthrough I saw this game on sale on the ps store and insta bought it. Looking forward to your next horror game playthrough !

I am from Taiwan, and I will say that this game requires a lot of attention and research before playing, otherwise you will have no idea what is happening in the game, since the game takes place during the 60s or the "White Terror" stage.
I agree. I had to do a bit of research into it after my first playthrough. But for my second playthrough I enjoyed it ten fold.
It doesn't really need "a lot" of research. The game literally tells the player that it takes place in martial law and the notes aludes to the politic opression that is hapening. A quick search on Google about the white terror is enough.

The way you move around with the mouse to click on objects and items and how the inventory is on the bottom of the screen. It really reminds me of clock tower for the Super Nintendo which is also a horror like game.
