Unless things have changed, the Halfmoon is glorious! That is the only resort that I will stay at when I visit Jamaica. It is amazing! The grounds are fantastic. That entryway when you walk in is epic. It’s beautiful if I could post pictures in this comment. I would you have to be there to know what I’m talking about. And it is the best in Montego Bay. And I know because when we went on excursions, we had to go to so many different other hotels to pick up people and nothing was like, Halfmoon
Thanks for sharing. I was there.... I only do vids about places I've stayed at. I think the newer "Eclipse" side of the resorts better, but appreciate the old scholl cham of the other side. Not sure if you've been to Round Hill, about 20-30 min outside on MoBay... I think it's better than Half Moon but no right or wrong.. it comes down to pesobnal prefernce. I'm not rying to tell people where to stay, just giving them enough info I hope to make the best decisions for themselves....
@@SwankGuide hello, I understand and my post wasn’t directed towards you but someone else. I believe when I was there they were just beginning the construction on the eclipse or they were in the middle of it. I was on the old world charm side. And I loved it. It wasn’t ostentatious, over the top and staged, you know, how everything is nowadays. It was a blessing and can’t wait to get back. They also allowed us to go on the side where the villas were and where Prince Harry and his family like to stay. We actually got to go in the room. It was nice. It had almost like a Cape Cod feel. . We really enjoyed our 10 days. Don
Wow, thanks for describing the lack luster infamous Half Moon Bay Resort. It is so ugly and out dated. The grounds are not even lush with green lawns, flowering native trees and newly or fairly new planted palm trees, there should be marble and granite everywhere, plush sisal ara rugs and deep damask furnishings with big pillows. Linen curtains and damask with tassels very old Britannia but done right. There is no wow factor except for famous people that stayed in like what the 1960's pleaseeeeeeee. I would not stay there. Maybe at Eclipse.
my least favorite of the 10 recommendations I'm making in Jamiaca... the only reason it made my list was b/c of the Eclipse side. I also didnt love the vibe there.
