She soars on every vault, spins fast af, straight legs, and lands dead center of the mat! This is one of the best views we can get, you can really feel the intensity especially the satisfying thud when she lands

And she makes it look so easy. That's what slays me.

It’s her second vault too. Most of the other women’s first vault and their second is usually a 5.0 difficulty- it’s insane.
Her cheng is great but she did much better in the past ( legs and feet crossed and little pike at the end )She knows that. I think she focused much more on the first vault and didn't have enough time to work her cheng. But still amazing

Just how fast is she moving in the sprint up to the vault? The speed seems unreal and to control that into an actual vault with spilt second timing just blows my mind!!

If they wouldn't deduct a half point from her YDP vault just because her coach is nearby to spot the landing, no one would be able to come close to her vault scores. She wouldn't even need a 2nd vault.
Even with a -.5 , she still scores between 15.700 and 16.100 which is CRAZY in the 2024 code. It amazes me.

agreed. I honestly feel like she hasn't shown her best chengs this year- her technique has gotten a little funky (not that it matters she'll still score higher than everyone maybe with the exception of Rebecca)

I feel like she’s been more focused on hitting her first vault
I don't know how much time she legit took between the double pikes and the Cheng but it seemed she was having to focus on controlling the power and missing some form. Or maybe it's just from not doing that one as much.
@@drew-ih7bx she said recently that she hasn't been training it much. She and Laurent have really pushed the YDP, and the Cheng is just so she'll have a second vault. Rebeca will probably have a better one, but with the YDP it's not going to make much difference.
Plot twist, the YDP is Simone's easiest vault for her. Her backup should be the Cheng.

Those Chengs were actually so ugly 😭 Never seen her fully cross her feet like that, usually just the toes. Crazy she got them around off of pretty bad/off balance blocks though

This athletes should wear tights. Why bare your butt when u can cover up?? Its so shameful and embarrassing to watch. They should change dress code for athletes. Its NOT NORMAL to expose your bodies like that.
