    I would love to see you guys talk about the Buick Regal GS. I had a cobalt LSJ 2007 fun car. But now have the regal. My regal has zzp cold air intake zzp down and mid pipe. Tuned for 94 octane as I am in Windsor Ontario Canada. Running boost at a peak of 25psi with a hold of 21.82psi on boost. Next mod will be the zzp intercooler and charge pipes. Car should be close to the 400hp mark. But I would love to see a Buick done by zzp.

    Love to hear you guys show off what you can do on a Saabs LK9 b207r. I have a XWD aero Saab 9-3 6 speed manual. Definitely looks foam casting. Except for the multiple suspensions setups I’ve tried I had to have so many of my upgrades shipped from Europe. AWD, manual and one of ZZP’s crate engine would be sick.

    The LNF has a more efficient burn? The argument being that it underflows on a bench but still produces better HP? Did someone do an apples to apples on that with a motor at the same boost? efficiency of burn is typically an emissions component and not exactly something that denotes power. The timing and temperature of the charge and pressure should dictate power across the board. I'm not saying I don't believe you it just doesn't jive in my head and I wanted to see if someone had done tests you can point to. Thanks for making this.

    Has anyone or you guys figured out the timing chain failure issues on these engines and the oil consumption problems as well? I know that I have been seeing alot of those failures with these engines. But I know that they can be good engines. I'm possibly thinking of swapping the 2.4 or the 2.5 from the Cadillac ats from the junkyard maybe. But I'm hoping that some performance shops came upwith something to fix it. Or has GM fixed this issue and has possibly made better timing chain parts to fix that timing chain problem? Ok thanks and I'm hoping that someone will get back with me. Aloha 🤙🤙🤙🤙

    Can the porous block issue on the LNF affect the external walls of the block? On my ‘08 Solstice with 30k miles I had the turbo oil lines/coolant lines replaced due to failure. When the dealership put the parts on after the install they noticed the engine was still leaking oil. They put it back on the lift and noticed a thumbtack sized hole on the external wall of the engine block, right side, almost mid engine height. It’s slightly above the catalytic converter on the right side of the engine. You can see right through to the internal parts.
    The engine still works and sounds completely normal when it’s running. Zero engine knock or other abnormal noises. I know this hole was definitely not there before getting the lines replaced.
    How the hell can a hole like this appear in the side of the block?? Is it possible to successfully spot repair it?

    • @gbrunner24
      @gbrunner24 2 роки тому +2

      @@igwhomps5853 The biggest downfall of the LE5 is the stock rods and pistons from the factory, those are only good to about 250wtq. The older models (05/06) have better rods, but most people who want to push the car need to immediately swap to forged internals. Unfortunately the Malibu doesn't get a ton of love just because it never had a performance model.

      Tyler is 100 percent right on this. I'm supercharging my 07 Pontiac g5 gt and bought the zzp supercharger kit plus im adding their zzp dual pass kit, option b kit and cai along with the mid length header combo I bought from them in December. Like Tyler said these engines are fine on normal to moderate boost but not much past. If you are fine with that and just enjoy it being quick and fun you'll be fine. The lsj abd lnf is where you'll get big power from. And thankfully for me my car was made in oct 06 so I got the stronger internals but even with that 240 to 250 is max for me. Zzp knows these engines so im not going over that number because I want a still reliable fun car and not one sitting on the side of the road broken down.
