@@marktaylor3809 .....of course 'some do this' my point was that many do not and therefore if you are not familiar with the song or melody, breaking it down before you have the context, will not be as effective as beginning the tutorial with a play through....but I think you probably understood that so I am not sure about your point
It is becoming more common in the newest videos on UA-cam. I remember searching for guitar lessons during early 2010's and it was a mess, besides JustinGuitar and few others.
Everywhere i search I find differents chords and I was very vonfused but your video is very easy to learn and useful, im going to play this song for a girl a really like, I hope everything goes good with her. Thanks for the video
I like the fact that you play through the song before beginning the tutorial....this really helps with context and is an excellent idea.....from valencia SPAIN GRACIAS
I had a book on Beatles music along time ago and it showed how to play these different songs. Well it actually gave you the chords and I had to figure out the little nuances to them. There wasn’t any tablature back then so most of the songs I figured out by ear. ..I did the ol listen to it on cassette rewind it play it rewind it play it 😄Now I just go to UA-cam and watch others and choose which one I like and which one is the closest interpretation of a song...And which one challenges me to my ability...So much easier now with you tube.😊
Great lesson! You not only demo it beautifully, you really have a gift of being able to communicate with your pupils/audience so it’s easy to follow . Well done!
Very nice lesson. Clear, well-explained, and with some nice variations and suggestions. Thanks for putting that out. Hard to believe Harison came up with that at 22 years old!
Thank you so much, but I feel compelled to tell you that in these videos you’re only seeing me at my best. You’re not seeing the years of slow progress, and all the trying and failing that went into getting just this song down. I struggle with almost every aspect of music, and I think that has helped me as a teacher.
I'm only learning from you during lockdown I am subscriber for ages and am only now at the level of dexterity to play at this level and your videos are on the ball now, I can do it and they push me a bit
Thank you so much sir. Very comprehensive and explicit tutorial and awesome performance of this beautiful song. Again, thank you so so so much. Best wishes
Oh, brilliant Rob. Always loved that song. I don't think I could sing it capo at five. You sure love 8,9,10 and 11th frets on that guitar, with the ware on the wood. Thanks for a great lesson. 😁
I've been struggling, trying to play this song for years with very awkward fingering on the riff at the beginning and middle parts of the song. Your lesson was excellent and really made this much easier to master. May I suggest you try an Fm7, instead of an F7. See if you don't like it better.
Hey thanks so much for the positive feedback, I've been really excited to learn and teach this tune. Glad you enjoyed it. Many more are on the way here on the tube, but be sure to check out my more comprehensive learning program at Patreon.com/swiftlessons. Be well. -Rob
Great lesson, my man! So easy to grasp! Great teaching skills. The one difference I hear between your version and the original is that second chord in the chorus section. I think its a Fm, or Fm7. The note that lands on beat 1 in the melody, as well as in the solo, is a minor 3rd. And I don't think it's supposed to be a #9. Nevertheless, amazing lesson! Keep it up!
2 роки тому+1
Actually, there is a major third in the guitar, and in the backing vocals. It is even actually on top i Pauls guitar. It is not ”just” a Fm7 (in this key) but a F7#9, the ”hendrix chord”.
Jan is right, Paul plays it like "F7#9". Functionally it could (and probably should) be a "Fm7" though, and NOT "F7". We hear the minor rather than the major third because that is what the context calls for.
every time I learn a song everything goes smooth until you stumble upon the impossible note, in this case at 15:22 😒🤬 but I'm on it.... :D thanks for the lesson!

I wished other tutorials would play the whole thing in the beginning like he does!
Other guitar tutorials do it"Blue Steel" such as Justin, it's nothing new.

I haven't expected to find a video playing the original form of the song like this before I searched for it. I appreciate that.
I'd have to say, you're easily the best guitar teacher on UA-cam, in my opinion.

there is genius in you teacher ! Thank’s (from Paris )
How the hell did they come up with that
They were The Beatles?
super late, but paul used to sing this in french when he was younger as a party trick. john remember the song and said they should do it for a song.
