Meaning “long sword” in English, the Tsurugi 300 Large Teeth from Silky is a unique tree saw that utilizes advanced materials and blade grinding techniques to deliver a durable, super slender “spine of teeth,” designed to cut hard-to-soft wood, even in tight quarters. Professionals are amazed by the cutting power and surgical precision that this sleek new blade affords.
Love my Tsurugi. I opted for the 400mm myself. I love the reach it affords. Combine that with easy blade swapping, narrow, blade for tight spots, the ability to resheath the blade in either orientation, and you get a very versatile blade.
The bunny ears created from the heart on the poster was distracting... lol just f'kn wit ya....human bunny...hmmm
“Awesome how narrow that is, really get in some tight crotches.” Oh goodness.
came to say the same thing... lol
excellant review human, as an added bonus ( whaaaaT ! ) you can spray lanolin, on the saws that your not using , to prevent rust .. got that tip from silky saw Austraila ..
Silky Tsurugi looks a love saw, especially for cutting out trees like willows, which tend to have close growth after a lot of pruning.
And some proper music being played! Damn right!
Thank you for bumping up the audio level early in the video! Nice work! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You should use the song my name is human by highly suspect in your intros. Keep up the work love the informative videos!!
I know you already have a Maasdam rope puller but could you do a review of one and show how you rig yours for use vs maybe the TreeStuff.com kits. I'm looking at using one of these to finish off a lot of burned up trees in soft sandy soil. Good unboxing video, can't go wrong with Silky reviews.
How is this saw? still use it? blade width makes me nervous about it breaking or bending badly on tough hard wood cuts
Have you ever tried using a diamond hone to touch up a silky blade? They are available on Amazon for around $6. They are good for carbide tooling so the hardened Silky blade should not damage it. Maybe a little project for you to try on your old Zubat blade. Keep up the videos and I am glad to see you up and working after the fall.
Oops I missed on the price, they are close to $12 but still reasonable for a test.
I'll have to check them out, would absolutely be worth it.
@@larrysmall3521 You need a special file shape for Silky saws. You can buy one from silky for just under$30, but it will only work on their non impulse-hardened saws, mainly the larger ones like the sugoi.
I believe the red handles = coarse teeth/ orange handles = med teeth
8/10 teeth per 30mm respectively.
i like the stihl colored shirt!
Happy Arbor day.
Also, I'm betting someone typo'd the description at Tree Stuff... Tsurugi is a Japanese straight bladed sword, I don't think it's an English word... ;)
Something makes me think you're correct, lol
I have a Pvc plumber saw that is the same idea. blades are like 30 dollars but I use it for everything and only use 1 a year.
Awesome
Is there a code? I’m in love
Silky needs to make their sheaths/scabards ambidextrous.
Jonathan Dickson the Tsurugi can be bought in a lefty version
Ben Law , that's awesome.
Numba 1🌲
0:22 thats what she said!
Good evening humans
May not be long but it sure is thin though!
Its only my birthday..... hint, hint!!
Wranglerstar will be annoyed you beat him to an unboxing.
This saw has been on the market for a couple of years already. If anyone was beat to do an unboxing, it's their own dawgone fault.
Samuel Luria it just wranglerstar said he'd get one soon, I guess he has a thing for the folding saws.
Then I don't know what you mean. You said simply, "an" unboxing - not a specific one. And as this is not a folding saw, I don't get what you mean there, either, sorry.
am i early?
