It will take a long time to replace the rest. They think the E-Class are better because they have voice capability🙄 If they want to replace Thunderbolts and want voice capability we need Modulators at least.
This siren used to be a dual-tone....but you can see where they replaced the chopper motor. They also fixed it so the attack works better. Great video!

@@United_HVAC_and_Fans i have read past comments about that issue, and 100% of the time, the answer is, "the blower motor is reverse wired", and its sucking air through the horn instead of blowing it out. There is a roots blower in the large yellow box, and if the motor is incorrectly wired, all kinds of strange noises are heard. The old ACA Hurricanes are nearly identical, except for the round horn instead of the square T-BOLT horn.
My husband and I live in Wichita KS they did replace it with a newer siren but since the stadium is being toren down the new tornado siren is also coming down city of Wichita is planning to build a bigger stadium

It does not look like it, I live in Wichita, but, I never looked to see if they did, also, that tower has a large light on top, if it were to fall, it would kill at least 100 people, so they most likely just disabled it piece bu piece.
@sirenfan97 Betcha someone rebuilt this chopper module before they stuck it in there, and probably used an armature/rotor from a Model 2, but didn't take into account that the siren they took it from was a 120V version. This will happen if you stick a 120V armature into a 240V field, it'll run at double speed. God forbid this thing ever gets moved up to terminal 7... :o

When it starts winding up and down at 2:09, it sounds exactly like the FS 2001 with a failed rotator motor, which blasted quite loud. Just do a search for "Federal Signal 2001 Malfunction" to hear what I mean.

The reason why it’s making this high pitched noise is because it’s blower is not working the blower supercharges the siren for a thunderbolt sound
Seems to be on 1000hz so a early 2000s ATI should work compared to the 2013 ATI's
