And for the dedicated 10 X Rose 'shippers...don't take it out on Clara; Rose got her happy ending...she got her very own take-home, half-human Doctor.

Yeah, I've never understood 'shipper wars myself..just enjoy the show for what it is, and if a pairing doesn't happen the way you want it too...that's what fanfiction and such are for. I was a 10 X Rose shipper myself, but I don't understand the fans who attack later companions or hate River or Clara just because they think "The Doctor belongs to Rose!" As many gripes as I have with RTD's writing (least of all the way he screwed over poor Donna ;..; ), he at least gave Rose the happiest possible ending she could've gotten unless they *really* went and pulled something out of a hat and somehow made her immortal. As the Doctor himself said "you could spend the rest of your life with me, but I can't spend the rest of my life with you." Rose would grow old, and the Doctor would just regenerate into a new body. The half-human Doctor has all his memories, loves her, and she'll be able to grow old together with him...no other new who companion hasn't gotten such a great ending in my opinion, and part of me still holds out hope that they'll find a way to give Donna her memories back without killing her...I'd love to see her snark back and forth with 12 XD
Margi Fisher [warning *spoilers for DW S4* -- to those who have yet to see that season for whatever reason] Totally agree about Donna ugh---the most heartbreaking leave of all. At least with their memories, such as with the Ponds and with Martha, and even with Rose, they can relive the beautiful moments they shared with the Doctor. I'm still hoping to see Donna pop back in at some point, eventually, because she was too funny with the Doctor. How she left the series was sad, though still beautiful in its own way. But I agree, I'd love to see her with Twelve. Such a fun dynamic that'd be! :)
Well Catherine Tate HAS said she'd love to return. Even if it was just a one-on, one-off episode (since she got married in her last appearance...which frankly annoyed me, I wanted her to find the guy from the Library, he was cute ;..; ), 12 said he's made a lot of mistakes and it's time he did something about it...well, screwing Donna out of all of her character growth and taking her memories was a huge mistake he needs to fix. Not to mention, she'd recognize his new face if she got her memories back. My theory of why 12 has that face is to remind himself that he needs someone with him to keep him from going too far, and to hold to the 'never cruel or cowardly' promise he made to him...Donna was the one who convinced him to go back to Pompeii and save that one family after all. So having the face of the father of that same family would be a perfect reminder to himself of that, which he needs since he's darker and more arrogant in this incarnation. Plus I could just picture Donna's reaction to him "Still a skinny boy in a suit I see"
I'm sorry but no that is now what doctor who is about its not romance and never will be.And right now im glad matt is leaving a Peter capaldi is taking over it will probably put an end to the idiot fangirls who watch doctor who only because of matt smith and whouffle just can't happen the doctor is way too old u rely on appearances too much
