- Instrument cluster no power diy repair, Repairing my GM cluster instrument gauge with the dreaded no power issue. I had issues on and off with the cluster sometimes it worked when warm then other times it never worked issues with needles not working and lights. After purchasing a diy kit from amazon including new GMC stepper motors & led lights i began to watch videos online revealing how it works and how to fix the issue. Now my GM speedometer works perfectly as does the entire cluster.

Top tip for removing the needles is use a fork with some masking tape to stop scratching the dials

mine needs doing, speedo and gear selection dont light up anymore, noticed when I was at costco in Leeds earlier today
It wasn’t too hard bud soldering iron some new led,s and motors fixed it right up

Mine just stopped working. No gauges no info center. But my engine light is still on lol. So it's getting power Is this what I need?
