I recently bought a powkiddy, and suddenly I started having the problem that it does not provide video when selecting a game, only the audio was heard, but I found your video and tried the solution, and it worked 100%! There isn't much information about these problems with the powkkiddy, but in this video you explain everything very well, thank you very much!

you can use your games on the second sd card. all you need to do is go to setting -> advanced -> scroll all the way down untill you see "switch to main sd card for roms". that simple
If anyone has tried to set your second sd card in the settings and it says not found remove as card insert into pc and open the sd card it will prompt that it needs to be repaired. Run the repair and put it back into your device and attempt to have it read the second card again and it should work

took a minute to download everything but seems to be working spot on for me, my issues started when i tried to transfer OS to new better SD card, appreciate the walk through
Help plz. Ok so I'm stuck at the screen before the restart at the 8:358:36. At the bottom it says the partition table has been altered. There is no more text after that.
Ok, i tried this on a BRAND NEW SD card (i used an old one without realizing it was corrupted beyond repair), it worked like a charm, but to use the other slot, you just have to head to options > advanced, scroll to the very bottom and you can change the SD slot you want to read the roms from. Even my favorites list shows the one I chose before. Don't know if someone else already said it.
Actually seems to work pretty well for me. But for some reason most of the psp games won't boot at all. When i try to start for example AC Bloodline it just kicks me back to the psp games folder... Is someone facing the same problem?
@@bytechno.1337 that's what makes me confused about this device, sometimes it works smoothly, sometimes half library doesn't open, and lately all cores don't see my previous saves anymore and now they don't support savestats anymore.

I'm trying to find a way to add my psp roms but no matter how many time i put them in the psp folder, i cant seem to see my games on the rgb20s. and it seems like there's different folders for the psp emulator on the rgb20s. I don't know where to put it in.
Hey, I got the powkiddy rgb20s about a month ago and it just started that when I open a game the screen stays black. I can hear the game running, the games music going, but only a black screen shows. I am thinking it may be the SD card but I am not sure and do not want to spend the time or money on a new SD card if that won't fix my problem. Any advice would be awesome!

Hello I have a question with me POWKIDDY. I changed the settings from the main menu and now it only shows me classic arcade games and I can't see other consoles. I go to the settings again and my options were limited, and now I can't revert it
I've switched to ds1 by accident and I can't access any of the pre downloaded games. i can't witch back to ds2 and I don't know what to do. Is there a fix?

@scaryifliteral 10:00 don't do it that way, just go to "Options", then "Advanced", use the right joystick and make one move up so you go to the last option in the list faster and you will see: "switch to main sd for roms", select that and let the gameboy do it's job and enjoy.
hey brotha do you mind letting me know what SD card you use for the second slot? all my current sd cards aren’t being found by the device.

@@nassbeajj1094 For OS i use SanDisk, and the games slot is better with a Samsung. The Samsung i use for games (my Powkiddy does not recognize SanDisk in the game's slot), is a "U3 - V30 - 128 GB" that is fast as you see. And the OS runs with Sandisk "C10 - U1 - A1 64 GB". But as i tell you, you need SanDisk for OS, and Samsung for games.
Not OP; but, I'm looking up what I need to patch up my R36S. According to Redditors who've already done what I've got to do, these "Game Console" devices can't read SanDisk or Lexar cards in Slot 2 - the ROMs slot. That would also apply to any store brand cards made by them as well. You pretty much can only use Samsung or PNY made cards. Nobody knows why it is, just that it is that way. I think TeamGroup is another brand that'll work. Interestingly, Slot 1 - the OS Slot couldn't care less what brand of card you use in it. Maybe Powkiddy is using the same parts as the "Game Console" brand handhelds and as a result has the same incompatibilities?

Guys, mine gets to the arkos screen, then the four dots and then the hyphen in the left corner and that's it... I've flashed the new SD card using Rufus, inserted into the OS slot and turned it on but I can't get it to boot the system Can anyone help me? I'm starting to loose my mind with this
after i do the Rufus part of the video and plug it in and start it up all the thing does is buzz with a black screen and i am not sure what to do or what has happen?
Do to do this you're gonna want a microsd to USB, and you're gonna want a new MICRO sd, you're gonna want to copy the operating system over and none of the games on a 16-32gb sd card, and then you download the movies under PSP or which ever
When i put Games Mircro SD (SanDisk 128gb), the console dont rread it i put the followin message: Could not find a Fat, Fat32, Exfat, EXT4, or NTFS based sdcard to mount from slot2
When I got my PowKiddy RGB20S, I immediately made disk images of both cards. If you have a Linux machine, you can mount the 2nd partition of the boot SD card, which is a linux partition and edit /etc/fstab for the last line to have "vfat,exfat", instead of just "vfat" and that fixed my version from being bricked. Please let me know if/where you want me to put my disk image capture.

With the original card or a new one you formatted in some way? I can use the original card they sent, I just don't trust it and it refused to use another card.

I had issues saving and loaded a saved state and I was watching videos to try and figure it out but didn’t wanna do all the extra steps but I literally just took out and reinserted the sd card with ark downloaded on it and now it’s working just fine so maybe try that if you don’t wanna go through the hassle of the steps
I have this. I got the 64GB version. It was all going smoothly up until one time when the Dreamcast and PS1 games won't start. So, I googled and saw this video and another one with the same problem. I followed the steps of the other YT video using a new SD card for the OS. And I even bought a new 256GB card for the games. The games SD card won't load, much like what happened to you. So, I thought that maybe, the Powkiddy RGB20S can't handle sd cards that big, so I tried to copy my files into a different 64GB card that I have. Still didn't work. The other person who made a similar video said that he had success using a 128GB card, so I bought one. When I set it up, still, it didn't work. Following your video is now my last resort to increasing the SD card capacity of my Powkiddy RGB20S. It just sucks that it is so sensitive as to what SD card it will work with. I hope that this time, it will work.
you need to make sure the sd card is in the format of FAT32 or simply just use a 32 gb sd.. but u can change ur sd card to FAT32 just look into it online
Thanks for the guide, it was exactly what I had to do! I do have a question if anyone reading this can help. I can't run the Master System games, when I checked the files on the microsd they are all zipped. I tried unzipping a couple but it didn't work either. Any suggestions? TY!
Someone may know the Solution to my Problem: I changed the keybindings from the DraStic emulator on my PowKiddie RGB 20s and now i cant navigate through the menu cause my bindings are ducked up. Is there a way i can reset the bindings without the DraStic menu (cant find the config file so far if someone know where its located would be great to!)
Think I saw your username over on Reddit with it solved but in case it isn't the same user, just hold the B button whilst you power up the r35s :-) Should load you into the BaRT bootloader :-)

I just got the new powkiddy 2023 and got curious just to see what kind of sd card they had the roms loaded on (obviously cheap) and after I popped it back in there’s no system sound…this may be an option if they don’t let me return it for a new one🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂
I experienced the same error very quickly and bought two new sd cards. Thanks for explaining everything now. What I'm wondering is, did you transfer all the games on the broken sd card to the sd card where you installed arkos or to the second sd card, I couldn't see you doing that in the video. A family member had a problem with their device. Where it would not start up and the yellow light was on permanently. Saw on another site: to hold the power button to re-boot it. 20 seconds or so and it worked perfectly...

I successfully used the RG3531MP Amberelec img to use on mine, flash the latest image to the OS card and format the second card to exfat and it will auto populate the card with the directories ready to be filled.. hope that helps someone 🙂 ~Edit. Switching over to Unofficialos as amberelec has a low audio bug on RG20s, UOS has a img for the RG20s

I did all this, the ArkOS logo appears and then the loading screen.. but then I'm met with a black screen with a flashing underscore. :(

Something has gone wrong. Start totally fresh and start over.

i've been trying for hours and hours and hours, i can't get the easy roms partition to show up
My powkitty doesn’t play games anymore besides psp and Nintendo ds… every other game shows up a black screen with sound

Sir i want to change the slot 2 where roms are located sadly it wont read the card in slot 2
Once you save to slote 2.. go to the menu shut system down take card 2 out put it in your pc the put the games inn the correct folders...

I had issues saving and loaded a saved state and I was watching videos to try and figure it out but didn’t wanna do all the extra steps but I literally just took out and reinserted the sd card with ark downloaded on it and now it’s working just fine so maybe try that if you don’t wanna go through the hassle of the steps
the files on the rom is showing like 250gb of data, is that correct?
I have this. I got the 64GB version.
It was all going smoothly up until one time when the Dreamcast and PS1 games won't start.
So, I googled and saw this video and another one with the same problem.
I followed the steps of the other YT video using a new SD card for the OS. And I even bought a new 256GB card for the games.
The games SD card won't load, much like what happened to you. So, I thought that maybe, the Powkiddy RGB20S can't handle sd cards that big, so I tried to copy my files into a different 64GB card that I have. Still didn't work.
The other person who made a similar video said that he had success using a 128GB card, so I bought one. When I set it up, still, it didn't work.
Following your video is now my last resort to increasing the SD card capacity of my Powkiddy RGB20S. It just sucks that it is so sensitive as to what SD card it will work with. I hope that this time, it will work.

you need to make sure the sd card is in the format of FAT32 or simply just use a 32 gb sd.. but u can change ur sd card to FAT32 just look into it online

Thanks for the guide, it was exactly what I had to do! I do have a question if anyone reading this can help. I can't run the Master System games, when I checked the files on the microsd they are all zipped. I tried unzipping a couple but it didn't work either. Any suggestions? TY!
Did you go into RetroArch and try downloading a Master System core?
You know the 64gb card, which side are you supposed to put on?
Right side is mandatory. Left side is optional.
Do you have to buy two new sd card or just one for the powkiddy if I ever want to get new rom games install
You can add games to the card that's in there until it's full or it dies like mine did.
Someone may know the Solution to my Problem:
I changed the keybindings from the DraStic emulator on my PowKiddie RGB 20s and now i cant navigate through the menu cause my bindings are ducked up.
Is there a way i can reset the bindings without the DraStic menu (cant find the config file so far if someone know where its located would be great to!)

Think I saw your username over on Reddit with it solved but in case it isn't the same user, just hold the B button whilst you power up the r35s :-) Should load you into the BaRT bootloader :-)

I just got the new powkiddy 2023 and got curious just to see what kind of sd card they had the roms loaded on (obviously cheap) and after I popped it back in there’s no system sound…this may be an option if they don’t let me return it for a new one🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂

I experienced the same error very quickly and bought two new sd cards. Thanks for explaining everything now. What I'm wondering is, did you transfer all the games on the broken sd card to the sd card where you installed arkos or to the second sd card, I couldn't see you doing that in the video. Maybe you've said it, but unfortunately my English is faltering in that part. Other than that, I understood everything.
The ROMs can just be copied and pasted once the OS is flashed to the card

A family member had a problem with their device. Where it would not start up and the yellow light was on permanently.
Saw on another site: to hold the power button to re-boot it. 20 seconds or so and it worked perfectly...

@@TARZ-676 You have to save with r1 and select. If you load into the game you have to press l1+ select to get to your save again

I successfully used the RG3531MP Amberelec img to use on mine, flash the latest image to the OS card and format the second card to exfat and it will auto populate the card with the directories ready to be filled.. hope that helps someone 🙂
~Edit. Switching over to Unofficialos as amberelec has a low audio bug on RG20s, UOS has a img for the RG20s

I didn't quite understood how formating a brand new SD card would suddenly "populate" the card with directories. I'm friggin noob to this topic ("flash" image) so it certainly is my lack of knowledge. thanks in advance.
