I think you should stop blender to do everything. Armor paint is an open-source software that completely look like substance painter and is fully optimised for such work. It just cost 15$ to access fully textured workflow. The cool thing is that it directly read blender file instead of exporting to obj/fbx. Why people are wasting their time in making addons like Has paint, Ucupaint and others. Because at the end you can't change the black and white UI of blender and can't optimised it to texturing program. I think people should use Armor paint actively and support the developer because it work with native blender file so the connection will be seamless. You should also make video about it.
Armor Paint doesn't have a projection texturing system like Zbrush's Spotlight and the forum/ software development seem pretty inactive. Blender has this feature, but the texturing performance is lame

hi, thanks for sharing your opinion but would've been a bit better if you check out the channel's other videos before commenting negative stuff, i've done many texturing videos from manually painting all the way to baking everything inside blender without using any additional addons, addons are here to make our lives easier and our project faster to compelete, eveything i showed on this video is free so theres no reason to hate, and funny thing is that when i make video without using any addons there are always some people sayin "why are you wasting time just use THIS addon" so its getting hate no matter what lol
You seem to have no value for your time huh, what's the difference between using an addon or doing everything manually if you're going to arrive at the same result? with that mentality you might as well discard every other thing humans have created that ease and speed up otherwise arduous and time intensive tasks...brother move on if you've got nothing constructive to say and go spend your time messing with noodles in the node graph, also what do you mean "people don't want to teach the basics"? There's literally lots of texturing tutorials on his channel 💀 smh
Blender's UI is absolute crap and makes no sense. I'm getting so frustrated trying to do simple things; ADOBE, for all their issues, has great products that do everything yet simplify the process in an intuitive way... I'm trying to texture stuff and it's a whole ordeal right now... why not implement a direct layering system like Photoshop??
Blender is not perfect but Adobe is not a great example of that? :D you wanna edit a video, you end up using 3 different apps, photoshop for simple image manipulations, after effects for some simple vfx and oh it has another app for exporting the video :| it does its things good but its so limited to that software just to make u pay for other apps subscriptions, but blender has all of these tools in one software, ofcource it's gonna have problems but it's gonna get better and better and someday they probably add layer system and other things.
Could never achieve the workflow you could get in substance. By the way the proceduralism , should be as Mari, blending a more light version using layers instead nodes.. they could follow the ideas of geonodes, but, it's more complicated noverall, best Substance for this kind of material creation, and since the software is developed to do that, Blender is a sort of open source 3d Software... @@ale_dp9 you can already try to stack a lot of open EXR and material node it works fine but 20 layer of 7 slot of texture can be a challenge to load on RAM even with substance painter.

Could u compare this, Ucupaint and PBRpainter?
Is there stencils for decals as well
Also the LSM LAYER MASK ADDON
You made the realistic hair addon? That shid is tight

I generally just go with Fluent Materializer
That's a fairly good alternative. Node based and very close to substance in terms of results. But it's not free, of course
Is there any catches to this beside the pay versions? Seems too good to be true. Will buy and try for sure. Thanks
