Tatsuya used the loop casting system which basically sent 3 copies of the same spell but that also won't get him 'wasted'. What Tatsuya did is alter each of the 3 surges which made it seem like he was hit by 3 different magic and caused the dizziness. However, that ability is not measured in their school.
