I dont think so. This anime was very popular in its era. But its not a gold like code geass or FMAB. Cuz This anime story is not that good. Its just OP male mc in sword and magic school setting, which is nothing special. If anything, its overrated more than underrated.

This anime has a very unique magic concept compared to any other anime with magic-based content. Also, the MC is so cool, both in terms of his look and his ability, that I'm including him as one of my top 10 characters who has unique powers.
