no they don't. Indian facial features are very different and diversed. Where as Chinese or korean facial features are very similar.

@@barsha362 Many of them do it even after we tell that "my native language is telugu" or "I speak hindi" many times. No one gets annoyed in the first time. Its the repeated awkwardness that gets our ass burnt.
I live in New Zealand and my non Indian friends ask me if I speak Indian or Hindi. And when I tell them I speak Gujarati they're like 'what's that'. So yeah.

Utpal Udit I have been around south Indians and north Indians well enough to understand their accents. North Indians do have accent. For example, they can't pronounce 'z' or put too much stress on 't'. South Indian accent are more like singing while they talk. If you think you have British accent be it as it may, but for us, stereotypical Indian accent is North Indian one.

Indian Hindu cannot eat beef and most of them are vegetarians thus pork included, Indian Muslims can eat beef but not pork. More or less just letting you know.

We find it normal and it's really easy for us to understand the accent...but just like it's hard for us to understand the American/British accent , when we first listen to it ...the same thing happens when they hear the Indian accent first time ...

I can relate to this being an Aussie born with an Asian ethnicity. In my work place there a quite a bit of people who are PR's and have lived in Australia for less than 10 years, and most customers assume I'm not born in Australia and they also don't think I understand english. I even told a customer during the holiday season that I'm happy I got my parents presents which is less stressful and she mentioned oh so do you need to mail it back home... she clearly heard my Aussie accent
