Thank you!! So happy to be able to see this show in the full length Broadway production! I caught the tour when it came to Albany, NY, and I’ve been teaching songs from the show to my voice students for decades now. Brilliant.
The only thing that has annoyed most of the cast, we have been rehearsing solidly since Christmas, two evenings a week & a lot of Sunday afternoons. It’s the Sundays, that have put people out, we are amateur & weekends can be precious family time. 3 or 4 Sundays are one things, but not nearly 3 months worth.
I saw it a few times, but by then Rachel York had replaced Sherie. What I remember most about the show were the sleek sets, the Jazzy score and that great tune NOTHING IS TOO WONDERFUL TO BE TRUE. On one day I remember catching SCOUNDRELS in the afternoon and PRODUCERS at night!
“The Bushes of Tex were nervous wrecks because their son was dim- but look what happened to him” it’s a George W Bush joke, this show was written mid 00’s
Muriel knows everything since her song with the ladies. Cause she get know the other victims. So… she’s looking for a funny adventure and she decided to fuck Lawrence all the time, but when she falls for Andre. She admitted what was looking for, and all because her husband cheated on her.
I’m trying to figure out if it’s a product of comedic tastes in 2005 or if there’s a good reason why Sherie Renee Scott is acting like a wet Kleenex. Anybody have thoughts?
Having recently seen the movie the show is based on; it’s honestly pretty close to the portrayal of the character in the film. She’s kind of a klutz until the reveal shows she was playing them from the start. I’d say a decent layered performance
Thank you for putting this up is my favorite Broadway show of all time! I always call it the perfect Broadway show. But then again, I eat brussels sprouts as well, so don't put that much into what I may tell you, check it out for yourself 🩷🧡💜
Oh my god, to have Christine be conducting the show when the reveal happens is a brilliant bit of symbolism!
This was my first broadway show ever--went on a class trip and left feeling SO obsessed, inspired and just GOOD.
okay them all stealing each other's wallets at the end is hilarious
underrated show. give them what they want is such a good opening number.
Have so many good memories of doing this show in a regional production. The gags and jokes never get old.
Truly a show that I wish had stayed open much muhc longer. Such a fantastic show, and a remarkable cast.
Norbert Leo Butz is a genius
This was wonderful. What a treat. Thank you for uploading Jamie Smith.
This is my schools musical next year, thank you for giving me a video to research.
Just finished, had to watch in sessions. Amazing show
Absolutely brilliant. An inspiration to life, no? 😉

54:34 I think me and my friends quoted that at each other for YEARS.
Joanna Gleason is always amazing
Am currently rehearsing this musical, for the end of March. Playing Andre, having such fun.
Me too! I'm in the ensemble, but it's still good fun.
Indeed, it’s fun! I’m the Hotel Manager, I get to fall over.

Do you know what the date of this performance is?
How did you have such a good camera in 2005???
I was able to see the show twice with John L. and a year later with another guy! OPPS! A wonderful show!
They had great big stuff i guess
Did not see any microphones on the singers - yes / no? If no microphones then that's great and how musical theater grew up.
In professional musical theatre, microphones are mainly at top the hairline or inside the wigs. They're tiny, so you can't see them from afar.
UA-cam was made that year

I’m confused about Muriel’s story.
Muriel knows everything since her song with the ladies. Cause she get know the other victims. So… she’s looking for a funny adventure and she decided to fuck Lawrence all the time, but when she falls for Andre. She admitted what was looking for, and all because her husband cheated on her.

All you have to do is say or sing the F word and people will laugh

Shut the fuck up no taste. Imagine hating sherie. Worthless.
