This is one of the malls in the United States that I want to visit the MOST! It is so beautiful and still looks so modern and cutting edge 20 years after opening. The LED display at the center court that you mentioned still looks as futuristic today as it did when the mall opened in 2002!
The info is hard to find now, but this mall's theme is "time". The LED display is a sundial, the light colored floors are limestone, and if you look closely you will see real fossils in them. The carpeted areas in some spots feature zodiac themes. I had to do a report in high school on this mall and I wish the info was easily found online, it's quite interesting and I can't remember all of it. Great video :)
I want to move to Orlando just to be able to be near a beautiful, thriving mall again. I live in Jax where our only mall is on hard times. Been to Millenia once and fell in love, can’t wait to go back hopefully soon.
@@malltours Yeah I live 10 minutes from the Avenues. It’s good, not what it used to be though, I remember how it was 20 years ago, couldn’t find a parking spot on the weekend, now it’s quite easy
@@90tommytee I still like The Avenues, but yeah, it's definitely not like it used to be. St. John's Town Center has taken most of the upscale stores and the thunder. Most of the stores that come to The Avenues these days are mom n pop stores or lower-end chains (like New Square, Rue21, and Rainbow).
@@TheNewgreatlife Yep. I just grew up in a time when indoor malls were a big deal, I miss that. I miss all the stores from the 90s-00s that have gone/going under.
Beautiful mall! That's my favorite store right there on the right at 7:21 (WHBM), although I'm pretty sure they moved their store (you can barely see that black wall with "WHBM" written on it at 7:18) to a newer location since this was recorded. I also love Aritzia too (see 7:28). Definitely a dream mall for me. We don't have an indoor mall with both Aritzia and WHBM here in DFW; the outdoor Southlake Town Square has both of these stores, but the NorthPark Aritzia is better and larger (unfortunately, there's no WHBM at NorthPark anymore; they did have a _really_ nice WHBM before it closed).
Yes the MALL of Millenia is a luxury Mall when it first opened in 2002 they had a fashion show right in the middle where all the TV are the futuristic center it is a very beautiful mall i love it , i shop there all the time i prefer to go get my stuff at the Mall of Millenia because amazon delivery they destroy my package i hope amazon goes out of business and the Malls stay OPEN!!!!! by the way the best restaurant at Millenia is BRIO tuscan grill i have been there dozens of times ....
I feel Millenia has more or less stolen Florida Mall's thunder in terms of upscale shoppers. Florida is more of what Fashion Square used to be before it collapsed.
@@BoratWanksta No, they're saying Fashion Square used to be the more mid-range alternative while The Florida Mall was the upscale/high-end mall. Now The Florida Mall is the mid-range mall and Mall at Millenia has all of the upscale stores.
thats a nice beautiful big mall

Have you tried The Avenues Mall in Jax? It’s fairly busy still and not dead nor dying. Millennia is truly beautiful and just fun to walk around in.

Went to Millenia in 2005, the mall was way too expensive for my budget. It doesn't look much different these days.
It's always been more upscale, cause the outlet mall is not too far away.
I feel Millenia has more or less stolen Florida Mall's thunder in terms of upscale shoppers. Florida is more of what Fashion Square used to be before it collapsed.
So upscale shoppers used to favor Fashion Square, the over time shifted to Florida Mall, and now again shifted to Millennia?

@@TheNewgreatlifeI see, now. Thanks for answering my question!
