    I hope the events was harder 😃 Last year when I hit 49 I suddenly just lost that extra boost that I had, still did not get it back.

      Come drop in with us at CrossFit Oneonta. Adam Vinson our coach/owner made the games as a master this year and I’ll be competing in you group next year at 45. Love to have one you day to share the wisdom!!

    24.5 seemed to mess you up Jason! Where did it hurt and how the hell do you command the body to push on?

    • @JasonGrubb
      @JasonGrubb  Місяць тому

      Beat me up big time.
      Rested.
      Ate food.
      Relaxed.
      And let the adrenaline and my capacity push thru for 24.6

    The five is more impressive as it spans the entire age group range from the youngest in the division to the oldest. Anyone who has done multiple years in an age groups knows the huge drop off that typically happens from youngest to oldest in an age group.

    • @JasonGrubb
      @JasonGrubb  Місяць тому

      To be fair... I have 1 more year in this age group. My first win was at the top of the younger age group (40-44)

    Having to change your own bar for the snatch race.. WTF is all that about?!! 😮

    • @vanillaghetto
      @vanillaghetto Місяць тому

      Right. It's a super quick event. They could've just run twice the heats...if they couldn't figure out how to get enough barbells and plates. Some snatch "ladder".🙄🤬

    • @patrickedwards5804
      @patrickedwards5804 Місяць тому +1

      @@vanillaghetto yep. Qualitatively changed the nature of the "test" it wasn't about how much you could lift but how quickly you could change up. Don't know what mimicking the pit team in formula 1 has to do with finding the fittest.

    • @JasonGrubb
      @JasonGrubb  Місяць тому +1

      Agree. This was a bit funky.

    • @patrickedwards5804
      @patrickedwards5804 Місяць тому

      @@JasonGrubb you are too much of a diplomat Jason. It was fucked up programming in my view and not the well honed test it should have been. Ever seen a snarch ladder in the Games where athletes have to changes their bars in what is a for time workout?! It's like testing the speed of a fire crew to put out a fire whwre they have to run a mile with a hose to the nearest water main. I'm appalled on your behalf, Jason if I may be so BOLD!
