Artistic Perfection! I have watched this pas de deux for over 40 years performed by hundreds of world class dancers. How are these two able to eke out every subtlety and nuance of the choreography and musicality in such gorgeous ways? A truly breath taking interpretation.
Anyone else find themselves applauding at the end? And they’re both smiling throughout and seem to be enjoying it even though only in rehearsal. We’re so privileged to watch these rehearsals.
The Nunez performance is deeply affecting and Mr. Muntagirov's level of perfection is the stuff of legends. As with his personality, there is a humility and understated elegance, not to mention power in reserve in his every gesture.
I'm currently applauding with my feet, because my hands are too busy typing: what an imense privilege it is to be able to watch this. Marianela is one of a kind, the star in a generation, her absolute dedication to her craft, her expressiveness and her palpable joy dancing are delightful to watch. Her and Muntagirov are always a perfect duo. I'm almost speechless.
i was just going to comment on the that. The look of sheer joy on his face when she jumps up onto his shoulder--I've never seen that. And his partnering is so subtle--he's simply there at the right time.
What a amazing partnership, Marianella and Vadim! I never get tired of watching them dance together, their hand placement in this duet is exquisite. The connection between them is palpable, it's wonderful to see. Thank you!
Mr, Clark. The master pianist......glorious music .....makes Ballet 🩰 what it IS!!!!....pure beauty, grace,. Divinity......this male danseur is superb. Btw...perfect body
I'm new to ballet, I'm 63 and my girlfriend was a ballerina.... Utterly mesmerising, they make it look so easy and effortless. Clearly they love what they do and the smile on both their faces tells it all... I'm a true convert...ballet is awesome 👌
Utterly GORGEOUS!! Vadim is such an attententive partner! How I love to see them dance together. Thank you. Awesome camera work too! Their technique has been perfect for goodness knows how long, but as artists these two are still on the ascendant. A pure joy to see. I think this is why art helps to make life worth living.
I love how even in rehearsal the dancers work as if they were in front of audience. Facial expressions, arms, attitude, execution are all the same as if they were in performance.
We are grateful to see them dance, and I suspect that they are anxious to perform for an audience. The sooner they can perform in front of a live audience of ballet enthusiasts, accompanied by a world class orchestra, the better. I feel that they miss performing live and this vulnerability gives this performance a special, vulnerable quality. Thanks for providing this video. I am watching in Melbourne, Australia. I loved the performance.
Exquisitely beautifully and nobly danced; their warm smiles inviting us with them on their journey. The whole is enhanced by pianists's excellent peformance, and the delicate lighting and colors. Can't stop watching, - the overall impression brings tears (of joy) to me: the joy of art!
Oh thank you so much for this. I missed out before. So beautifully captured, but you do have the most perfect of subjects to film, they are just divine, individually and then even more together. What a treat!
Nunez is one of the most artistic currently dancing ballerinas and her duet with Muntagirov is very impressive. That would be great if they did not dance this Pas-de-deux with Nureyev's choreography, which is basically, cuts and pieces of Patipa's and Grigorovich' ones. it may be more attractive for the dancers because it is simplified and the lifts are easy. While most ballet fans do not see the difference in choreography current dancers prefers easy versions because the audience will not know the difference.
This is the choreography from the Sir Peter Wright version of the Nutcracker for the Royal Ballet. I don’t think either Nunez or Muntagirov have any reason to be cutting corners as they are both capable of dancing any choreography they choose.
@@DancersDiary I'm sure it has something to do with the recording and acoustics in the room. A high quality dance program would not have an out-of-tune piano.

Yes, so true. I felt as though this old, well-known pdd was suddenly fresh and new.
absolutely perfect, it is like watch the heaven of the pas de deux. The pianist, so fantastic, bravo Mr. Clark!!!

😊COmose complementan Son maravillosos❤
Yes, I literally applauded them too. This is so magnificent I'm speechless.
I love that they are both smiling and they look like they genuinely enjoy themselves while dancing!
These two can bring you to tears...............such a pleasure to watch them dance together!
Watching these dancers is one of the things that make life worthwhile!!!
There’s no such thing as perfection in ballet, but this is as close as it gets.
I have seen Maya Plisetskaya dance live nine times...and that was perfection. This couple are still marvelous though and most definitely world class.
He makes the partnering look so easy.
Just glorious! The technique, the partnering, the soulfulness, the musicality.......flawless! Back to the theatre soon!!!
And that, my friends, is what artistic perfection looks like.
I find myself smiling back and crying at the awfully wonderful Nunez! She is the best dancer on the earth!
Perhaps not the best but among the best. Lopatkina, Zakharov and a few others are up there alongside Nunez, in the pantheon of brilliant dancers.

Vadim is an excellent partner. They have the best partnership in the RB in my opinion. And of course Marianela is perfect.

Me too. Ugh!!!!
One of the lovelliest things about his dancing: even in tragic roles he projects the joy of being a dancer, interpreting music...
These two.... Does a better pairing exist in ballet? I mean really... SO. DANG. BEAUTIFUL!

Marianela is the Ballet Book! Absolutely exquisite technique and artistry. Vadim is a wonderful partner for her.
Thats how I discovered this beauty Nunez!
They make that roll up to the shoulder look soooo easy!

Hi я видела как блистал на сцене ваш отец в челябинске . Помните и гордитесь родиной

We haven't seen much of Vadim lately in the posts of the RB.....such a beautiful dancer, I hope he is well! He is greatly missed.

Is it me, or is the piano out of tune?
hm ... definitely the first to say that .... I would say if anything then my recording of that isn't great
@@DancersDiary I'm sure it has something to do with the recording and acoustics in the room. A high quality dance program would not have an out-of-tune piano.
Great technique and everything I just always find Nela so smug and I always regret watching her unfortunately
Smug? I don't see how, perhaps confident and assured in her technique.
@@Emmareads15 Well you don't have to see how, that's why it's my opinion and not yours :)
@@sfrancies87 I can't see how anyone could watch her and regret watching, but there you go.
I suppose everyone has an opinion, regardless.
I dont find her smug. I think she is just enjoying herself.
@@pheart2381 I like to see dancers enjoying themselves. My favourite dancer is Anna Rose O'Sullivan, I love her quiet confidence
