Greets from south TX. Love your orange cat and backyard tour. 58 and enjoying 3 years retired. Your ramblings are looked forward to whenever I find them 😊
The word orange can not be rhymed, and the same goes for discombobulate. Thanks for being kind to the cats and helping them; it is much appreciated, Buzz!
New Subscriber here. Loving the channel, its nice to see other folks coping with retirement. Ive been retired 10 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. My wife and i have a great social life and are surrounded by people who care. Keep up doing what you're doing. it's appreciated.
We bought a house that had ramps already installed and the realtor said he could have them removed when he was showing the house...No way, it was a selling point for us! We love our ramps, I have a cart that I use to wheel groceries from the car into the house, we can wheel the wheelbarrow on the ramp, and we can get the snowblower onto the porch to clear it off in the winter. Our cats get named by some significant detail...Ringtail has large racoon sized rings on his tail and Squeak has a squeaky meow. Have a great day.
I like the ramp for the same reasons! I'm just used to it. I never put railings on it, but I will if necessary. I figured they would get in the way. Plus, our aeration tank is underneath. I like your method of naming! Have a good day. Buzz
Buzz, great channel! I'm your age, but still two years from my planned retirement... if I make it that long! We started a UA-cam channel a few weeks ago that we're hoping to have fully up and running within the year. Thanks for posting. You're an inspiration!
Hi from Spokane. I retired at 68 and while I loved what I did, don't miss the daily deadlines or commute. One thing that bugged me for the first couple years (I'm 72 now) was that I wasn't being productive. I'm finally settling in and finding that sweet spot between "must-do-something" as opposed to just doing what feels right for the day.
Glad you enjoyed your relaxing Sunday Buzz, we finally had low humidity the past 3 days in Maryland with a nice cool northerly breeze but still in the high 80's and comfortable so it gave me the incentive to do some weed pulling, apply some weed killer, and repair some huge blacktop driveway cracks, but being close to 72 I'm feeling it this evening, it's going to be back hot and humid again tomorrow and for the remainder of the week so I'm definitely looking forward to staying back inside with the AC and heal these aching bones. 😊
Very cool place you have there, Buzz! That's me, too, recently took in a very young stray....he's going to remain an 'outside' kitty. Loves to find a cool spot during the hot afternoons here in central Oklahoma, under freshly watered shrubs and trees. I think I'm gonna like your channel! Looking forward to future episodes! Have a great day!
One certainly can get in the procrastination mood easily in retirement, I should have been outside weeding today but there is always tomorrow 😂! My back already is sore just thinking of all those bags of cement 😳 good luck with that! All The Best To You & Mrs Buzz! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
That’s a ginger cat! I’ve got one too. Called yellow, orange, red, ginger or marmalade, they are special! Usually male, they get their color gene from the mother. An “orange” female would have to get the same color gene from both parents. Judging by the comments it’s obvious who the star of this video is. Winston Churchill had one named Jock that he was especially fond of. When Churchill bequeathed his beloved country estate Chartwell to the National Trust, he did so on the condition that a marmalade cat named Jock would always live there. Today Chartwell is home to Jock VII. True story.
I got a cousin to that cat. It’s orange Tabby too. We live in rural Tennessee. My wife brought home these three orphaned girl cats. That was 11 years ago. My boss took one, one got run over and the other is still here.
Keep us posted on the pour!! We know you can roof!! Garden looks good!!! My sister is single, and she just loves cats!!! If I poured 40 bags, I would need the ramp!! Looking forward to the budget break down for the month! The is one of my favorite parts of the month!! Keep them coming Mr. Buzz!!
It's better than that! It's Sunday night. I feel the stress building because it's back to the grind at 6 am. Wait, no, I'm retired! Smiling all night! Sorry, Buzz
Well Buzz, if you run out of things to do, let me know I got a pasture that needs a little work, some trees to trim, fence to paint, stalls that could use a little dirt wheeled in. All just in case you get bored. Nice looking place you got there, have a great Sunday .......
hello, wonderful Sunday after noon from Michigan, (the thumb) I also built a ramp for my sister and my wife's sister, now ten years later, i limp up the thing.
I live in Britain, and am retired like yourself. Your comments about the lack of true friends as you get older hit a chord with me. To add to this our adult children are very troublesome, and not very ' hearty ' with us. Do you, or anyone else find it's very much a thing that family acts this way?
Welcome! For us, we have a shrinking family as both sets of parents have passed, and one of our two daughters passed in 2020 from cancer. We just attended a party a couple weeks ago with my brother, niece, cousin, and family from another state. So, for us, although we don't talk every day, we know we can count on them when needed.
Two orange cats around my place. One I call Fluffy Cat, the other (less often seen) is 'Fraidy Cat. I'll give you one guess why they have those names...
Good morning! How old is the cat? Male or female?I had a cat that looked like that named Whiskey over 50 yrs ago. I currently have one cat, female and she is 13 1/2 yrs old. Have her since 10 wks.
Thank you Buzz for providing great content. Enjoy your channel.

He's in my lap now and wants all of us to retire early!

Thanks. Tomatoes are tasty
Nice yard and cat. Seems like a great place to spend the day.
Or the next 20 years. Lol
@@BuzzRetirementGarage agreed. Now that I have the time, I need to get a nice garden like yours going.

Lol, the cat is orange, but the bird feeder still looks yellow to me! Nice garden!
Ha! It can be what you want it to be. Lol

I'm getting cold feet now. May go to harbor freight and get a mixer.
