By far the most thorough Workbench video out there! Thanks for this
Cheers Dan!
That was well needed! Thanks Adam
Hi Cyril! Thanks for the comments as always. :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial
You're welcome Deepak :)
Great!
Could you do more videos on this tool. For example, I was walked through using it to do a deployment. And maybe other tools you use.
Great suggestion! Thank you :)
@@AdamFoyston or can you do a workbench video on how to do a package deployment
Good video
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it :)
Great video - I love WB but I've been getting Heroku errors recently - sometimes refreshing brings it back, but we had a time when it was down for like a day - is it true we can host our own version of workbench as a workaround?
Hi there, YES! I've come across the same issues with workbench but seems to be working better now, so hoping it was temporary. I'm not aware of 'hosting your own' but would expect you may get the same issues. It might be worth seeing if it's easy/possible to do what we need in the Salesforce import tools, etc, but Workbench is useful for sure, unless you go down the more developer route and use a different tool such as ANT, etc.
How would someone disable access to Workbench for standard users? Apparently this allows users to access pretty much everything in a company's database and export it. Not ideal.
I think you can set on/off the Workbench access on the profile and/or remove API access. This is from memory (which isn't great!)
Hello Adam can we upload Custom Metadata Records from Workbench
Yes is the answer I think. Check this out: help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000382512&type=1
Oh I wish there is some better way to export or import Knowledge articles.
Agreed
