The reason we need to focus on spiritual growth in addition to growing physically, financially, mentally and 'materially, is because spiritual growth is the only tool that provides one with the sure shot growth in 'perspective' about one's strengths and weaknesses.
You can grow financially and still not objectively, really truly see yourself for WHO YOU ARE.
You can grow physically and materially.. materially meaning an increased clout, reputation and authority.. but still not TRULY KNOW who YOU are if we took those things away.
Even with intellectual and mental growth, you won't necessarily be able to objectively SEE YOUR place in the cosmos.. society.. surroundings..
It's only spiritual growth that truly enables you to dive deep into the understanding of WHO YOU are vis a vis others around you and your rightful place to be taken amongst them.

I will as soon as I find any available right now. I learned it from my grandfather in the form of stories he would idly share while reading.. when I was a kid. (Old books in sanskrit/hindi..)
