    A friend of mine recommends, if you're getting corrosion on the outside, you're getting accelerated oxidization ... you could use vaseline or spray paint.
    Always love your videos ... keep up the GREAT work!

    Connected in series, the voltage is increased but the amperage remains the same throughout.
    Connected in parallel, the amperage is increased but the voltage remains the same throughout.

      Can you make some in parallel and some in series and connect them together to increase both?

      yes. but that can get dangerous.

      @@texacalian9289 Yup. You'd connect a number in series to get the voltage you want. Then connect those groups of batteries in parallel to get the amperage you want.

    thanks for the video .another way to bump the voltage on these batteries is to add some heat . heat from a light source = sun or light bulbs etc will sometimes recharge the cells back to a higher voltage.

    hello, an easy way to stack these in series or parallel is to get some 5 minute epoxy and some old plastic ice cube trays. put your batteries in the tray and pour in some epoxy to form a holder and you can ''stack'' the batteries from there. an easy holder that won't corrode. use plastic though, as the metal ones will corrode and short out.

    I also plan to see what happens if I make a series of copper tubes with magnesium sticking out both ends, cap the crystal in on both ends and wire them together in series. I'm hoping to get 12 volts. Then make a bank of those to wire together in parallel to see how much it would take to get a few amps at 12 volts. Compare size and weight to Li-ion and lead acid. I'm currently 100% off grid.

    Coat the inside with silicone grease it helps with corrosion! I’ve used it for my older cells.

    might be fun to test how many together it would take to charge a phone over usb... make a small power brick for charging continuously

    • @piewolfe
      @piewolfe 7 років тому +2

      It might 4 or 5 in a series to make 6+ volts

    • @joelttrout
      @joelttrout 7 років тому +2

      builtrodewreckedit about 2300 pounds of crystal will be equivalent to a rapid cell phone charger, but 5.5 pounds of crystal can keep an iPhone 5 running in standby mode. 68 pounds will give you enough for continuous talk time. all of this assumes no losses with a 100 percent efficient transfer of power to the cellphone.

    I've been working on these for a couple years now... I can tell you that they do work. But the copper tends to get a build up of corrosion and splits as the crystals push out. To eliminate this I have been working on a non copper non magnesium battery.

    How about adding galvanized bits of Metal to Salts( Crystal)will
    It boost Voltage?

  • @captainKedger
    @captainKedger 6 років тому

    Instead of cooking a whole pan full for one battery then fighting to get the core in after you fill the copper, try placing a wood or rubber wafer in the bottom then placing the core inside the copper then sift in a layer of salt all around with the copper fitting sitting in the hot pan. Just stir with a toothpick as it melts directly in the copper fitting adding layer after layer. Then use a heat gun to melt the middle and top layers as it gets filled...then drop into a shallow tray of cool water to set faster. Run a charge through it while the crystals set and they will form a much better alignment as they harden and give you better results. I'm going to try capping off the top with a layer of resin to see what closing in the crystals will do.

    If you can power LED's then you could get some sort of moving device to power up some peizo devices (check amazon) hooked into a battery, and create a motor..to run a generator.

    I wonder how long this would power a 20ma LED?

  • @alchemy1
    @alchemy1 3 роки тому

    What do you mean?
    If you hook a bunch of them together in parallel, it would increase amperge. Then hook it up in series, it will increase the voltage. Relax and you will be okay.
    I would think you just buy some plumbing copper pipe and it doesn't have to a cup.
    Just sit the pipe on wood with the magnesium inside just the same. this way the magnesium and copper is kept apart and not touching which is the point. Then just fill it with your solution afterwards.

    Hello great video! Have you ever used or heard of the cylinders of Pharaoh Pepi II? They are made from copper and zinc cylinders filled with quartz crystal when held produce electrical energy starting at .6 volts and will gain .02 volts every minute held. Make them yourself or get them on amazon or etsy called "cylinders of the pharaoh"

      Mine too...but I had more research n it's all about ionic bond n covalent bond...first discovered n invented by John hutchison...working on the principle of casmir effect a common mineral treat in certain way produce endless electricity it's called petrol electrical effects...

    If you put several together, - to +,- to +... that makes a series circuit and the amps stay the same but the volts add up. This shows how to weld solder tabs on + and -.
